yesterday from Hilo, at which port
she has discharged her oil. Her
catch was 240 barrels.
Tho Atalanta is 134 days out
from Liverpool to-day, and tho Earl
Dalhousie 10-4 days out from St.
Michaels. They ought to arrive
with tho first fair wind.

evening.

been very calm, tho Sappho was
four days making the passage from
Hilo.
Tho whaling bark Georao and
Susati arrived yesterday from New
Bedford. Sho is fivo and a half
months out. Reports having1 seen
whales only onca during the voyngo.
Tho water flowed from tho Arte
sian Well, in the let next the Gov
ernment Building, yesterday after
noon, at 3:30. The well was then
about -15)3 foot deep. Sandy soil
was still being bored through. Tho
boring will bo continued until the
hard rock is reached, which is ex
pected to bo found a few feet
deeper.
