At any of the above Money Order Post
Offices, an order will be issued, on ap
plication, for any sum from one cent to
rlfty dollars. The following aro the fees
established, whieh are payable by the
applicant at the time the order is issued:
For any sum not exceeding
Five Dollars Scents
f ? rOver Ave dollars, and not ex
ceeding $10 10 cents
Over ten dollars, and not ex.
- ceeding-$25 15 cents .
Overtwenty-flve dollars, not
exceeding' $40 "20 cents
Over forty dollars, not ex
ceeding 50 25 cents
No order will be issued for more than
fifty dollars. When a larger sum is
wanted it' must be procured in two or
more orders.
An order cannot be issued on any post
office except one of the above-named mo
ney order offices, until notice has been
given -that .it has been made a money
order office. -
An'order is-payable on presentation,
only at the office drawn on, anil the per
son to whom it. is paid must receipt for
the amount.
Blank applications arc kept at each
money-order office.
At the country money-order offices,
certain days, and hours of the day, will
be designated by the Postmasters when
money orders w ill be issued.
N money -order business transacted on
Bunday.
Pamphlets, containing more full de
' - tails of, the money-order system, can be
had' on application at any. of the post
offices. Foreign Money Orders cannot be is
sued until money order treaties have
been made w ith such countries as it may
be desirable to extend the system to.
