At any of the above Money Order Post
Offices, an order will be issued, on ap
plication, for any sum from one cent'.to
fifty dollars. The following arc tho fees
established, which arc payable by tho
applicant at tho timo the order is issued:
For any sum not exceeding
Five Dollars.. Scents
Over five dollars, and not ex
ceeding $10 10 cents
Over ten dollars, and not ex
ceeding $25 15 cents
Over twenty-flvo dollars, not
exceeding $40 20 cents
Over forty dollars, not ox
ooeding $50 25 cents
No order will bo issued for more than
Afty dollars. When a larger sum is
wanted it must bo procured in two or
more orders.
An order cannot bo issued on any post
offloe except one of tho above-named mo
ney order offices, until notico has been
given that it has been made a money
order office.
An order is payable on presentation,
only at the office drawn on, and tho per
son to whom it is paid must receipt for
the amount.
Blank applications arc kept at each
money-order office.
At tho countiy money-order offices,
certain days, and hours of tho day, will
be designated by tho Postmasters when
money orders will bo issued.
No money-order business transacted on
Sunday.
Pamphlets, containing more full dc
'tails of tho money-order system, can bo
had on application at any of the post
offices. Foreign Money Orders cannot b'o is
sued until money order treaties have
been made with such countries as it may
be desirable to extend the system to.
