The celebration of the birthday

as in the theatre; and equally well
were heard, too, at the theatre the

. distinguished guests; but to this
day it has not been ascertained who
it was who whispeied the message
that the Lord Chamberlain hoped
that the dresses of all the performcis

solemn occasion. Of cour3e it was
