The German residents have de
cided to celebrate the 87th birthday
of the German Empcior, which will
fall on Saturday week, 22nd hist.,
by a concert at the grounds of tlic

The Trustees of the Honolulu
Library Association have decided to
proceed with the erection of their
new building without further delay.
The deficit in the total amount re
quired, to complete the building, is
S 1.800, but the trustees have decided
to hold themselves responsible for
the amout of the deficiency when the
day of reckoning comes.
