WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a tlik'f at night it steals in upon
us unawaica. Man persons have pains
about the chest mid sides, mid sometimes
in tho back. They feel dull and sleepy;
the mouth has a bad taste, especially in
in the morning. A sort of sticky sfitnc
collect1 about the teeth. The appetite is
poor. There is a feeling like si hco,y
load on the stomach; sometimes a faint
all-gone sensation tit the pit of tho
stomach which food does not satisfy.
The eyes arc sunken, the hands and foot
become cold unci feel chinuuy. After u
while a cough sets in at first diy, but
after a few months it is attended with u
gtccnlsh coloured expectoration. Tho
nlllictcd one feels tired all the 'while, and
sleep does not seem to afford any rc-t.
After n time he becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore
bodings. There Is a giddiness, a soil of
whirling .sensation in the head when
rising up suddenly. The bowels become
costive; the skin is dry and hoi nt llnus;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes becomo tinged
witli yellow, tho urine is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment niter
standing. There is frequently u spitting
up of the food, sometimes witli n sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
taste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; the vision
becomes impaired w itli spots before the
eyes; there is a feeling- ot great prostra
tion and weakness. All of these symp
to m 3 are in turn present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
lias this disease In some of Its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men havo mistaken the nature of this
disease. Some hac treated it for a liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none ot the various kinds of treat
ment havo been attended with success,
because the remedy should bo such as to
net harmoniously upon eacli one of these
oigans, and upon tho stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of these organs partake
of this disease mid lcquiro a remedy
that will act upon all at the samo lime.
Seigel's Curative Syi up acts like n charm
in tills class of complaints, giving almost
immedinted relief. The following letters
.from chemists of standing in the com
'inunity wliuro they livo show in what
estimation the article is held.
John Archer, ILu thill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all

sent you a letter iccninmcndiiig Mother
Ssigel's Syrup. J havo very mttrh
plcasuro In still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory iusults of tho famed
Syrup niid Pills. Mostpatcnt medicines
die out with me, but Mother Selgel lias
had a steady salo over since I com.
nicnced, and is still in as great demand
ns when I llrst began to sell the medi
cine. The cures w filch have conio under
my notlco are chiefly tlioso of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood says it is tho only thing wklch lins
benefited him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after being
unable to preach for a consldciable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, but space would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to costiveness, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigel's
Pills nro tho only pills which suit ids
complaint. All other pills causo a
inaction which is very annoying.
Motlior Seigel's Pills do not lcavo a bad
