WHAT
IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like u thief (it night It steals in upon
lis unaware. Many persons havo pains
about tliu chest and sides, and sometimes
In tht! back. Thoy fcol dull nnd sleepy;
the mouth has a bad taste, especially in
In the morning. A sort of bticky slime
collects about the teeth. The appetite Is
poor. There Is n feeling like a heavy
load on the stomach; sometimes a faint
all-gone tonsiltlon at the pit of the
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
The eyes arc sunken, the hands and fo:t
become cold anit feel I'lnminy. After n
while a C'liigh sets In at (list thy, but
after n few months it Is attended with a
greenish colouicd expectoration. The
allllctcd ono feels thed all the while, nnd
sleep does not seem to nllbrd any rest.
After a time ho becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and ha3 evil fore,
botiings. There is a giddiness, usoit of
whirling sensation In the head when
rising up suddenly. The bowels become
costive; tho skin is dry nnd hot at limes;
tho blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of thu eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urinu is scanty and high
coloured, depositing n sediment alter
standing. Thnro is trequcntlyu spitting
up of the food, sometimes with n sour
taste, and sometimes with n sweetish
taste; thl3 is frequently attended with
palpitation of the heart; the vision
becomes impaired with spots before the
eyes; thcro Is a feeling ot great prostra
tion and weakness. All of these symp
toms arc In turn present. It Is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
has this tllscaso in some of Its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men havo mistaken tho nature of this
disease. Some have treated It for a liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but nono of the various kinds of treat
ment havo been intended with success,
because the remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of theo
oigans, and upon tho stomacli as well;
for in Dj-spcpsln (for this is really what
the disease Is) all of these organs partake
of this disease aud require a remedy
that will act upon all at the samo time.
Seigel's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
lu tills class of complaints, giving almost
lmmcdiatcd relief. Thofollowinglcttcrs
from chemists ot standing In the com.
niunity where they live show in what
estimation the article is held.
John Archer, Ilaithill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may bo sulVering from liver or
stomach complaints, having tho testi
mony of my customers, who have derived
great benefit from the Syrup and Pills.
Tho sale Is increasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. Webb, 141, York btiect,
Jiclfast: I have sold a largo quantity,
aud tho parties have testified to its being
what you represent it.
J. S. .Metcalfe, 55, Ilighgato, Kendal:
I have always great pleasure in recom
mending the Cuiatlvo Syrup, for I have
never known a case in which it has not
relieved or cured, nnd I havo sold many
grosses.
Kobt. G. Gould, 27, High Street,
Andovcr: I havo always take a great
interest in your medicines and I have
recommended them, as I havo found
numerous cases of euro from their use.
Thomas Chapman, West Auckland :
I find that the trade steadily increases.
I sell more of your medicines than any
other kind.
X. D.trroll, Clun, Salop: All who buy
It are pleasul, and recommend it.
Jos. ILilkwill, A. P. S., Kiugabridgc:
Tho public seem to nppicclatc their
great value.
A. Armstcad, Market Street, DuHoii-ln-Furness:
It Is needless for mo to say
that your valuable medicines havo great
sale in this district greater than any
other I know of, giving great satis
faction.
Robt. Lalno, Molksham: I can well
recommend tho Curative Syrup from
having proved Its clhcucy for indigestion
myself.
Frlockhoim, Arbroath, Foifnrshlrc,
Sept. 23, 18J. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter reenmmendin? Mother
Seigel's Syrup. I have eiy much
plcusuie In still beating testimony to thu
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills. Mostpitcnt medicines
die out with me, but Mother Scigel has
had a steady bale ever since I com
menced, and Is still in as great domand
as when I first began to sell the medi
cine. Thu cures which have coino under
my notice nro chiefly thoso of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood tays It is the only thing wltich has
benefited him and restored him to his
noimal condition of health after being
unable to preach for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, but si aco would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to costlvcness, or
constipation, finds that Mother Solgel's
Pills arc tho duly pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
. reaction which Is very annoying.
Mother Seigel's Pills do not leave a bad
nftcr.clTect. I have much pleasuro In
commendinc again to sull'crintr human-
ity Mother Solgel's medicines, which
aie no sham. If this letter Is of any
servlco you can publish It.
Yours very truly.
(Signed) William S. Olass, Chemist.
A. .1. White, Esq.
15th August, 188J.
Dear Sir, I wrltu to tell you that Mr.
Henry Hllller, of Yateshury, Wilts, In.
orms mo that ho sull'ercd from n severe,
form of indigestion for upwards of four
years, and took no end ot doctor's inedl.
elno without tho slightest benefit, aud
declares Mother Seigel's Syrup which ho
got from mo has saved his life.
Yours truly,
(Signed) N. Webb,
Mr. "White. Chemist, Calnc.
