IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like 11 thief at night it steals hi upon
us unawares. Many persons have pains
about, tho chest and sides, and sometimes
In thu back. They feel dull nml sleepy;
the mouth has a bad taste, especially In
in thu morning. A sort of sticky slime
collects about the teeth. The appetite is
poor. There is n feeling llku a heavy
load on the stomach; sometimes a faint
all-gone i-cnsatlou at the pit of tho
htomach which food does not satisfy.
Tlio eyes aro sunken, the hands and foot
become cold and feel clnminy. After n
whilu a cnigh sets in at first diy, but
after n few months It is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
nlllictcd otic feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to afford any rest.
After a time he becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and lias evil fore,
boilings. There is n giddiness, u sort of
whirling sensation in tho head when
rising tip suddenly. The bowels become
costive; thu skin Is dry and hot at times;
thu blood becomes t Lick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes becomo tinged
with yellow, tho urine is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is lrequcntly a spitting
up of tho food, sometimes with a sour
taste, nml sometimes with a sweetish
taste; this Is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; the vision
becomes impaired with spots before tho
eyes; there is a feeling of great prostra
tion and weakness. All ot these symp
toms aro In turn piescnt. It Is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
has this disease in some of Its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men liavo mistaken the nature of this
disease. Somo have treated It for a liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but nono of the various kinds of treat
ment have been attended with success,
because the remedy should bo such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, mid upon thu stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of those organs partake
of this dlsciibe and require a remedy
that will act upon all at thu same time.
Seigel's Curative Syi up acts like a cliarm
in tills class of complaints, giving almost
immediiited relief. Tho folio wing letters
from chemists of standing in tho com.
munlty where tliuy livu show in what
estimation the article is held.
John Archer, ILu thill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may be buttering from liver or
stomach complaints, having tho testi
mony of my customers, who have derived
great benefit from tho Syrup and Pills.
The sale is increasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. Webb, 141, York btrcct,
Dclfast: I have sold a largo quantity,
and thu parties huie testified to its being
what you represent it.
J. S. Metcalfe, Gj, llighgato, Kendal:
I have always great pleasure in recom

Frlockhelm, Arbroath, Forfarshire,
Sept. 23, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter u'commeudlne; Mother
Seigel's Syrup. I havo cry much
pleasure la still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Byrup and Pills. Mostpatent medicines
dlo out witli me, but Mother Seigel has
had a steady salo ever since I com
menced, and is still in as great demand
as when I first begon to sell tho medi
cine. Tho cures which havocomo under
my notice aro chiefly those of liver
complaint and gonoral debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood bays It is the only thing wklch has
benefited him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after being
unablo to preach for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, but snaco would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to co3tivcncss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigel's
PilU are the only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
reaction which is very annoying.
Mother Seigel's Pills do not leave a bad
after-effect. I havo much pleasure In
commending again to suffering human
ity Mother Seigel's medicines, which
are no sham. If tills letter is of any
service you ctn publish it.
Yours cry tiuly.
