WHAT
IS THIS DISEASE THAT
IS
COMING UPON US?
Like u thief at night it steals in upon
us'unawarca. Many persons have p Una
iitKiut tlio chest and sides, unil sometimes
In tlic back. They feel (lull mill sleepy ;
tho mouth hasu had taste, especially 'in
In tho morning. A son of sticky sllmo
collects uhout thctectli. Thcnppctllo is
poor. There is n feeling like h heavy
io.id on the stomach; Bomcllmes a faint
ull.gonu sensation nl the pit of tho
stomnch which food docs not satisfy.
Tho eyes are sunken, the hands and fcU
become cold mid ft el cliiiiuny. Aftei a
while a cough sets in tit lirst dry, hut
after a few mouths it is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
iilllletcd one feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to allbid any rot.
After a time ho becomes ncnous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore,
boilings. There is n giddiness, n soi t of
whirling sensation In the head when
rising up sudden))'. Tlic bow els become
costive; the skin is dry mill hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
the whiles of tho eyes become tinged
w itli yellow, the urino is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
taste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; tho vision
becomes impaired w 1th snots before the
cjos; there is u feeling or great piostra
lion and weakness. All of those symp
toms aro In turn present. It is thought
tint nearly one-third of our populi:tiou
has this disease in home of its ailcd
forms. It lias been found tint medic il
men hmu mistaken tho intiiro of this
disease. Sonic hne treated it fora ltcr
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of the various kinds of treat
ment have been attended with success,
uccnuso the umctly should bo such as to
act harmoniously upon each ono of these
oigans, and upon the stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for tliis is really what
tho discaso is) all of these organs partake
of tliis dise iso and require a remedy
that will act upon all at tho same lime.
Seigel's Curative Syrup acts like n charm
in litis class of complaints, giving almost
inimcdliited relief. Tlio follow ingletters.
from chemists of standing in the com.
munity where they 11 vo show in wlnt
estimation tho article is hold.
John Archer, Ilarthlll, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may be suffering from liver or
stomach complaints, having tho testi
mony of my customci s, w ho have dci 1 veil
great benefit from the Syrup and Tills.
The sale is increasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. Webb, 111, York Street,
Belfast: I h.ivo sold a largo quantity,
and tho parties hmc testified to its being
what you represent it.
J. S. Metcalfe, G5, Hlghgate, Kendal:
I have always great pleasure in rcconi.
mending tlio Cuiatho Syiup, for I have
never known a rase in which illiasnot
relieved or cured, and 1 have sold nnny
grosses.
Uobt. G. aould, 27, High Street,
Andovcr: I have always take a great
interest in your medicines and I have
lccommeudcd tlicm, as I hivo found
numerous enscs of euro from their use.
Thomas Chapman, West Auckland:
I llnd that tlio trado steadily increases.
I sell more of your medicines than any
oilier Kind.
N. Darioll, Chin, Salop: All who buy
it are pleased, and recommend it.
J03. Itilkwill, A. P. S., Kingsbridge:
Tlio public seem to apprcciato their
great value.
A. Armstcad, Market Street, Dalton.in
Furncss: It is needless for mo to say
that your valuables medicines have great
sale in litis district greater than uny
other I know of, gi ing great t-ntis
taction.
Robt. Luinc, Melksliam: I can well
recommend the Cuiativc Syrup fiom
having pioved its clhcacy for indigestion
myself.
Frlockheim, Arbroath, Forfarshire,
Sept. 2U, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter recommending Mother
Soigel's Syrup. I have cry much
pleasure in still bearing testimony to the
very satisfactory results of the famed
Syrup and Pills. Mostpatent medicines
die out witli me, but Mother Seigel has
had a steady sale ever sinco I com
menced, and is still in as great demand
as when I flrst began to sell tho medi.
cine. The cures which have como under
my notice aro chielly lltoso of liver
' complaint and general debility.
A certain miuister in my neighbour-
hood says It Is the only thing which has
benefited him nnd restored him to, his
normal condition of health after being
unablo to preach for a consldorablo
length of time. 1 could mention also a
great many other cases, hut spaco w ould
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to rostiveness, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigel's
Pills aro tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
reaction which Is very annoying.
Motlter Seigel's Pills do not leavo a bad
nfter.cli'ect. I have much pleasure in
commending again to suH'eilng human,
lty Mother Seigel's medicines, which
are no sham. It this letter Is of any
seivlce you can publish It.
Youis very truly.
(Signed) William S. Glass, Chemist.
A. J. White, Esq.
15th August, 1883.
Dear Sir, I write to tell j on that Mr.
Henry Hllllcr, of Yatesbury, Wiitu, lu
orms mo that ho suffered from a severe,
torm of indigestion for upwards of four
years, and took no end of doctor's niedl.
olnd without tlio slightest bcncllt, and
declares Mother Seigel's Syrup which ho
got from mo him saved his life.
Yours truly,
(Signed) N. Webb,
Mr. White. Chemist, Ciilne.
