WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
1, 1 1; i) ii thief nt night it steals In upon
us unawares. Many 1 arsons have p ilns
about the client mul shies, ami sometimes
In tho back. Tlicy feel dull and sleepy j
tho mouth has a bad taste, especially lu
in tho moraine. A son or sticky slime
collects about tho teeth. The appetite is
poor. Theio is n feeling lll;u u heavy
loid on tho Btomnch; sometimes n faint
nll.gonc sensation at the pit of the
stomach which food does not sitisfy.
The eyes nro sunken, the hands and feet
become cold and feci clnmmy. After a
while a cough sets in at first dty, but
after a few months it is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. Tho
iillllctcd one feels tired nil tho while, and
sleep does not seem to afford any rest.
After a tlmo ho becomes ncivous.'irritn
blc. and gloomy, and has uvil fore,
boilings. Thcro is iv giddiness, ti soi t of
whirling sensation In tho head when
rising up suddenly. The bowels become
costive; tho skin is dry and hot at times;
tho blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urine is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. Thcro is frequently a spitting

toms arc In turn present. It is thought
that neatly onc-thiul of our population
has this disease in some of its uirlcd
forms. It his been found tint medical
men have mistaken the inturo of this
disease. Some have treated it for a liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of tho nrious kinds of treat
mcnt'lmvo been attended with success,
because the iciucdy should be such ns to
act harmoniously upon each one of theso
oigans, and upon tho stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of theso org ins partake
of tills disease and require a remedy
that will net upon all at the same time.
Selgcl's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
immedinted relief. Tho following letters
from chemists of standing lu the com.
munity where they livo show in what
estimation tho article is held.
John Archer, Ilaithill, near Shellleld:

Sept. 23, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter lecomiucnding Mother
Soigel's Syrup. T have very much
pleasuro lu still bearing testimony to tho
cry satisfactory results of the famed
Syrup and Pills. Mostpatcut medicines
dlo out with me, but Mother Scigel has
had a steady silo ever since I com

as when I first began to sell tho medi

my notice aro chlelly those of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister In my neighbour,
hood says It is the only thing wlilch has
benefited him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after bolng
unablo to preach for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also u
great many other cases, but spuco would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is cry much addicted to costlvcncss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Selgcl's
Pills are tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
reaction which is very annoying.
Mother Selgcl's Pills do not leuvo u bad

commending again to sutlering human,

ate no sham. If this letter Is of any
service you can publish it.
