Telephone 250. Dak Lon an, Ed i tor Wit ay TAYLoit, Local Reporter J as. U. Clkviok Manager WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS COMING UPON US? Like it thief tit night It steals lu upon us unawares. Many peicons have pains about the chest and sides, and sometimes In the back. They fool dull and sleepy; the mouth has a had taste, eipeclally In in tho morning. A sou of sticky Mime collects about the teeth. The appetite is poor. There Is n feeling like u heavy lo.ul on the stomach; sometime,.? .a fnlpl all-gone fcnsatlon at the pit of the stomach which food docs not s itlsfy. Tho oyes aro sunken, tho hands and foot become cold and feel clammy. After a while a cough Nets In ut llrst dry, but after a few months It is attended with a greenish coloured expectoration. The atlllcted emu feels tired all the while, and sleep does not seem to nll'ord any rest. After time ho becomes nervous, Irrita ble, and gloomy, nnd has evil fore, bodlngs. There Is u giddlne-s, a soit of whirling sensation In the head when rising up suddenly. The bow els become costive; the skin Is dry and hot at times; tho blood becomes thick and stagnant; tho whitest) of tho eyes become tinged with yellow, tho urlno is scanty and high coloured, depositing a sediment after standing. Thetc Is frequently a spitting up of the food, sometimes with n sour taste, and sometimes with a sweetish taste; tills is frequently attended with palpitation of the heart; the vision becomes impaired with spots before the eyes; tlicro is a feeling ot great prostra tion and weakness. All of those symp toms aro In tin n present. It Is thought that ncaily one-third of our popuktfon has this disease in some ot its varied forms. It Ins been found tint medical men have mistaken tho nature of this disease. Somo hac treated It for a lher complaint, others for kidney disease, etc., but nono of the various kinds of licat nient have been intended with success, becauso tho remedy should bo such as to act lminioniously upon each one of theso oigans, and upon the stomach as well; for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what the disease is) all of these organs part ike of this disc iso and lequiro a remedy that will act upon all at the same time. Selgel's Curath e Syrup acts like a charm in this class of complaints, glvingalmost linincdiatcdiellef. The following letters from chemists ot standing iu the com. munity where they live show iu what estimation the article is held. .John Archer, Haithlll, near SheMcId: I can confidently recommend it to all who may be sulVerlng from lier or stomach complaints, having tho testi mony of my customers, who have dei Ivcd great hcnellt from the Syrup and Pills. The sale is increasing wonderfully. Geo. A. Webb, 141, York btrect, Belfast: I li.ivo sold n large quantity, and the parties have testified to its being what you represent it. J. S. Dear Sir, Last year I sent you a letter ltcomnicndinj; Mother Selgel's Syrup. I have cry much pleasure In still bearing testimony to tho very satisfactory results of tho famed Syrup and Pills. Mostpatcnt medicines (11 o out with me, but Mother Scigel has had a steady Bile ever since I com. menccd, and Is still in as great demand as when I Hist began to sell the medi clue. Tho cures which have eomo under my notlco mo chiefly thoso of liver complaint aud general debility. A certain minister in my r.oighbour hood says It is tho only thing which has benefited him aud lestorcd him to his normal condition of health after being uuablo to preach for a considerable length of time. I could mention alto a great many othor cases, hut spaeo would not allow. A ncav friend of mine, who i3 very much addicted to costiveness, or constipation, llnds that Mother Seigcl's I'HU are tho only pills which suit his complaint. All other pills cause a reaction which Is very annoying. Mother Selgel's Pills do not leavo a bad after-ellect. I have much pleasure in commending again to sufl'crlng human, ity Mother Selgel's mtdlclnts, which aio no sham. If this letter is of any servico you can publish it. "Youis very truly.
