otK: WHAT Is fms dTseWthatTs" AEm W
IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a thief nt illicit it steals in upon
us unawares. Many crsous havo p.iins
about tho chest and sides, nnd sometimes
In tho back. Tlioy fcol dull nnd sleepy;
the mouth has a bail taste, especially In
in the morning. A sort of sticky slime
collect nbout the tooth. The appetite Is
poor. There Is a feeling like a heavy
load on tho stomach; sometimes a faint
nil-go no sciibatlon at the pit of the
stomach which fooil does not satisfy.
The eyes aro sunken, the hands and feet
become cold and feel clammy. After a
while a cough sets in at llrst diy, but
after a few months it Is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
allllctcd one fceU tired oil the while, and
sleep does not seem to nfl'ord any rest.
After a time he becomes ncivous, lirlta
ble. and gloomy, and has evil fore,
bodings. There is a giddiness, :i sort of
whirling sensation. In tho head when
rising up suddenly. The bowels become
costive; the skin is dry and hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes become tinged
w lth yellow, tho urino is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment alter
standing. There is lremicntly a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, nnd sometimes with a sweetish
latc; this is frequently nttended with
palpitation of the heart; the vision
becomes impaired with spot3 before the
eves; there is a feeling of great prostra
tion and weakness. All of those symp
toms nro In turn present. It is thought
that neatly one-third of our populmfon
has this disease in Fomo of its arled
forms. It Ins been found that medical
men havo mistaken tho nature of this
disease. Somo havo treated It for a liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, ijlc,
but none of the various kinds of treat
ment havo been attended with success,
because the remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, and upon the stomach as well;
for In Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of these organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that will net upon all at tho same time.
Seigcl's Curath e Syrup acts like a charm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
iniinr-dialcd relief. Tho following letters
from chemists of standing in the com
munity wheie they live show in what
estimation tho artlclo is held.
John Aichcr, Harthlll, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may bo sult'oring from liver or
stomach complaints, having the testi
mony of my customers, who have derived
great benelit from tho Syrup and Pills.
The 6ale Is increasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. Wobb, 141, York Street,
Belfast: I havo sold a large quantity,
and tho parties havo testified to its being
w hat you represent it.
J. 8. .Metcalfe, 55, Highgate, Koudal:
I havo alvviivs creat pleasure in recom
mending the Curative Syiup, for I have
never known a case in which it has not
relieved or cured, and I havo sold many
grosses.
Robt. G. Gould, 27, High Street,
Audover: I have always take a great
inteicst in your medicines and I havo
lccommendcd them, as I havo found
uumeious cases of cure from their use.
Thomas Chapman, West Auckland :
llnd that tho trade steadily increases.
1 sell more of your medicines than any
other kind.
N. Darroll, Chin, Salop: All who buy
It are pleased, and recommend it.
Jos. Balkwill, A. P.S., Kiagsbridge:
Tho public seem to appreciate their
great value.
A. Armstcad, Market Street, Dalton.in
Furncss: It Is needless for me to say
that your valuablo medicines havo great
sale in this district greater than any
other I know of, giving great satis
faction.
Robt. Lainc, Mclksham: I can well
recommend tho Curative Syrup from
liuvlug proved its efheacy for indigestion
myself.
Frlockhclm, Arbioath, Forfaishirc,
Sept. 2a, 18S2. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter ueoniniendine; Mother
Seigcl's Syrup. I havo very much
plcasuro in still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory lcsults of tho famed
Syrup nnd Pills. Most patent medicines
die out w itli me, but Mother Soigcl has
had a steady sale ever since I com
lnenced, and is still in as great domand
as when I first began to sell tho medi
cine. Tho cuios which havecomo under
my notlco nio chielly those of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour
hood says it Is tho only thing vvltlcli has
benefited him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after being
unable to preach for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
gicat many othor cases, but space would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to costlvcncss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigcl's
Pills arc tho only pills which suit ills
complaint. All other pills cause a
reaction which, is very annoying.
Mothci Seigcl's Pill3 do not lcavo n bad
aftcr.ellect. I havo much pleasure In
commending again to sullcring human,
ity Mother Seigcl's mcdiclum, which
aro no sham. If this letter Is of any
service you can publish It.
Yours v cry truly.
(Signed) William S. Glast, Chemist.
A. J. White, Esq.
ltith August, 16SJ.
Donr Sir, I write to tell you that Mr.
Henry Illllier, of Yntesbury, Wilts, in.
,:orms mo that ho sudoral from a severe,
t oi m of indigestion for upwards of four
years, and took no end ot doctoi's modi,
dun without thu slightest benelit, and
declines Mother Soigcl'a Syrup which he
got from mo lias saved his life.
Yours truly,
