IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a thief at night It steals in upon
in unawares. Many persons have pains
ubflut the chest nnd sides, and sometimes
in tho buck. They fool dull and sleepy;
the mouth lias n bad taste, especially in
in tho morning. A sort of sticky nlimc
collects about thotccth. Tliuappctilc Is
poor. There is n feeling like a heavy
load on tho stomach; sometimes n faint
all.gono sensation at the pit of tho
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
Tho eyes nro sunken, tho hands and feet
become cold nnd feci clammy. After a
Mhllo n cough sets in at first diy, but
after a few months it Is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
nfllictcd one feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to afford any rest.
After a time lie becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore
bodings. There is a giddiness, a son of
whirling sensation in the head when
rising up suddenly. Tho bowels become
oostltc; tho skin Is dry and hot at times;
tho blood becomes thick and stagnant:
tho whites of tho eyes become tlnccd
with yellow, tho urlno is scanty and high-
coloured, depositing a sediment ni
a sediment after
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up oi mo ioou, sometimes with a tour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
taste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; the vibion
becomes impaired with snots before tho
ovo3; there Is a feeling of great prostra
tion and weakness. All of those symp
toms aro in turn present. It is thought
that nearly one-thhd of our population
ha3 this disease in fsomo of its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men have mistaken tho naturo of this
disease. Somo hnve treated Itfora liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but nono of tho various kinds of treat
ment havo been attended with success,
because the remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, and upon the stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for tills is really what
the disease Is) all of these organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that will act upon all at the same time.
Seigel's Curat! vo Syrup acts like a charm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
immcdlatcd relief. Tlio following letters
from chemists of standing In the com.
munity where they live show in what
estimation tho article is held.
John Arciier, llarthill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may be suffering from liver or
stomach complaints, havittg the test!

great benefit from tne Oj, up auu rills.
The sale is increasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. "Webb, 141, York btrcet,
Belfast: I havo sold n largo quantity,
and tho parlies luuc testified to its being
what you represent it.
J. S. Metcalfe, 05, Highgato, Kendal:
I havo ulwnrs crcat nluasuro in rccoin-
mending the Curatlvo Syrup, for I have
never known a rase in which it lias not
relieved or cured, and I have sold many

Kobt. Lainc, Mclksham: I can well
recommend tho Curatlvo Syrup from
having proved its efheacy for indigostlon
friockhcim, Arbroath, Forfarshire,
Sept. 23, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter recommending Mother
Soigcl's Syrup. I havo cry much
pleasure in still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills. Most patent medicines
dio out with me, but Mother Seigcl has
had a steady sale over sinco I com
menccd, and is still in as great demand
as when 1 Urst ocean to ben uio mcui.
cine. Tho cures which have coino under
my notice aro chiefly those of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood says it is tho only thing wkicli has
benefited him and restored him to hla
normal condition of health after bolng
unablo to preach for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, hut space would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to costiveness, or
constipation, finds that Mother Soigcl's
Pills aro tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills causo a
reaction which is very annoying.
Mother Seigel's Pills do not leave a bad
after-effect. I havo much pleasure in
commending again to suffering human,
ity Mother Seigel's medicines, which
aro no sham. If this letter is of any
servlco you can publish it.
Yours very truly.
