WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a thief n' night itstcils in upon
in unawares. .Many crsotis have pains
about tho chest and'shlrs and sometimes
in the back. Thej feel (lull and sleepy;
the mouth liaia had taste, especially in
in the mm nine A sort of sticky sllmc
collect about tiff teeth. The appetite is
poor. Tlicie is a feeling like n heavy
loid on the stomicli, sometimes n faint
iill.gono ' sensation at tho pit of (lie
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
Tho eyes are sunken, the hands and fe.t
become cold and feel clammy. After n
while a rough sets in at tlrst diy, but
after u few months it is attended with a
giccni'h coloured expectoration. The
atllicted one feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to n fibril any rest.
After a time he becomes ilei vous irrita
ble, and jrlootny, and lias evil fore,
boilings. There is a giddiness, a oit of
whirling sensation in the head when
rising up suddenly. The bowels become
rostlvo; tho skin Is dry and hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
the whites of tho eyes become liugul
with yellow, tho urine is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. Theie is ticiucnt!y a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a 'our
taste, niiil souu times with u sweetish
taste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; the i'-ion
becomes impaired with spots bofoie the
eves; thcro is a feeling ol great prostra
tfon and weakness. All ot the-e symp
toms are In tuin pre-enl. It h thought
that neatly one-third of our population
has this disease in some of Its varied
forms. It his been found that medic I
men hae mistaken the nature of this
disease. Some lmc ticatcdii fora liver
complaint, others for kldnev disease, etc.,
but none ot the arious kinds of treat
ment have been attended with sv.cces',
because the remedy should bo such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, nnd upon the stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is tenlly what
the disease is) all of these organs partake
of this disease and require a lcmcdy
that will net upon all at the same lime.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts liko u charm
in this class of com'pl lints giving almost
linmcdlated relief. Thefollowinglcttcrs
fiom chemists of standing lu the com.

estimation tho aiticle is held.

A certain minister in my neighbour

normal condition of health after being
unable to pieacli for a considerable
length of time. 1 could mention also a

is very much addicted to costlvcness, or
