WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a llilcf ut night It Meals hi upon
ui unawares. Many persons liavo pains
about thu cheat and sides, and sometimes
lu the b.iok. Tlicv feel dull and sleepy;
the mouth has n bail taste, especially in
in tlio morning. A sort of sticky slime
collects about the teeth. The appetite Is
poor. There is ti feeling like n heavy
load on tho stomach; sometimes a faint
all-gone sensation at thu pit of tho
stomach which food does not satisfy.
Tho eyes aro sunken, the hands and feet
become cold nud feel clammy. After a
whllo u cough sets in at first dry, lint
after a few mouths it is attended with a
giconish coloured expectoration. Thu
allllcted one feel3 tired till the while, and
sleep does not seem to atlbrd any rest.
After a time ho becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore
boilings. There is a giddiness, a sou of
whirling sensation in tho head when
rising up suddenly. Tho bowels become
costive; tho skin is dty nndliot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urine Is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
lasto; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; tho vision
becomes impaired with spots before the
eyes; there is a feeling of great prostra
tion and weakness. All of these symp
toms nro In turn present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
lias this dlseaso in some of its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men have mistaken tho nature of this
disease Some have treated it fora liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but nono of the various kinds of treat
ment have been attended with success,
because tho remedy should bo such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, and upon tho stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the dlseaso is) all of those organs partako
of this dlseaso and require a remedy
that will act upon all at tho stinio time.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts llko a charm
In this class of complaints, giving almost
inimediatcd relief. Thcfollowitiglottors

estimation tho article is held.

Sept. 23, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter recommending Mother
Seigcl's Syrup. I havo very much
pleasure In stilt bearing testimony to the
very satisfactory results of the famed
Syrup and Pills. Most patent medicines
die out with me, but Mother Seigel has
had a steady salo ever bIuco I com
inenced, nnd Is still In as great demand
as when I first began to bell the medi.
clue. Tho cuics wlilch have come under
my uotlco aro chicily those of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour
hood says It Is tho only thing wklch lias
benctlted him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after being
unable to preach for a considerable
length of time. 1 could mention also a
great many other cases, but spneo would
not allow. A near filcnd of mine, who
. is very much addicted to costlveness, or
constipation, finds that Mother Selgul's
Pills aro the only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills causo u
reaction which Is very annoying.
Mother Seigcl's Pills do not leave a bad
after-effect. I have much pleasure In
commending ogalu to Buttering human,
ity Mother Seigcl's medicines, which
aro no sham. It this letter Is of any
servico you can publish It.
Youis very truly.
