WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like u tbicf :it night it steals In upon
us unawares. Many persons have pains
about the chest and sides, and HOiuctlmcs
In the back. They fool mill and sleepy;
the mouth has a liad taste, especially 'In
in the morning'. A tort of btlcky slime
collects about the teeth. The appetite Is
poor. There Is a feeling like a heavy
load on the stomach; sometimes a faint
nll-gono sensation at the pit of Iho
stomach which food does not satisfy.
The eyes are sunken, the hands and feet
become cold anil fuel clammy. After n
while a cough sets In at (list diy, but
after n few months it is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
allllctcd one feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to nll'ord any reef.
After ii time he becomes nervous, Irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore,
boilings. There is a giddiness, u soit of
whirling sensation in tho head when
rising up suddenly. Tho bowels become
costive; the skin is dry mid hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of the eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urlno is scanty and high
coloured, depositing n sediment alter
standing. Thero is frequently n spitting
up of the food, sometimes with u sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
laslo; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; tho 'vision
becomes Impaired with spots before tho
eyes; there Is a feeling of great prostra
tion and weakness. All of these symp
toms are In turn present. It Is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
has this disease in some of its varied
forms. It has becu found that medical
men have mistaken the nature of this
disease. Some have ticatcd itfora liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of the various kinds of treat
ment have been attended with succes",
because the remedy should be such ns to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, and upon the stomach as well;
for In Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease Is) nil of these organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that will act upon nil at tho samo time.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts like ncharm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
iniincdiatcd relief. Tho followlnglettcrs
from chemists of standing in tho com
munity whero they live show in what
estimation the article is held.
John Archer, Ilaithill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may 1)0 suffering from liver or
stomach complaints, having tho testi
mony of my customers, w ho have derived
great benellt fiom the Syrup and Pills,
'i'lio sale is increasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. Webb, 141, Yoik btrcot,
Belfast: I bavo bold-a large quantity,
and tho parties have testified to its being
what you represent it.
J. S. -Metcalfe, C5, Highgatc, Kendal:
I have always great pleasure in rccoin
mending the Curative Syrup, for I have
never known a case in which it has not
relieved or cured, and I have bold ninny
groscs.
Uobt. G. Gould, 27, High Street,
Andovcr: I liavo always take u great
iutcicst in your medicines and I have
recommended them, as I have found
numerous cases of euro from their use.
Thomas Chapman, West Auckland:
I llnd that tho trade steadily increases.
I sell more of your medicines than any
other kind.
X. Darroll, Clun, Salop: All who buy
It are pleased, and recommend it.
Jos. Bilkw'ill, A. P. S., Kingbbridgo:
Tho public hcem to appreciate their
great value.
A. Arnistoad, Market Street, Diilton.ln-Furnessi-rlt
is needless for mu to bay
that your valuablo medicines have great
sale In tills district greater than any
other I know of, giving great talis
faction.
Hobt. Lainc, Mclksham: I can well
recommend tho Curative Syrup from
having proved Its ethency for indigestion
mysclt.
Frlockhcim, Arbroath, Forfnrshirc,
Sept. 23, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you n letter lecomiucndlng Mother
Seigcl's Syrup. 1 have cry much
pleasure in still bearing testimony to the
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills. Most patent medicines
cllo out with me, but Mother Scigcl has
had a steady sale ever slnco I com
incuced, and is btill in as great demand
as when I first begun to sell the medi
cine. The cures wliich have como under
my notlco aro chielly tho3o of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour
hood'says It is tho only thing which has
benefited him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after being
unable to preach for n considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many omer cases, mu space woum
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to costlvcncss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigcl's
Pills are tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
leacilon which Is very annoying.
Mother Seigcl's Pills do not leavo a bad
nftcr-ellcct. I have much pleasure in
commending again to suHcring human
ity Mother Seigcl's medicines, wliich
aro no sham. It' this letter is of any
scivlco you can publish it.
Youis very truly.
(Signed) William S. Glass, Chemist.
