WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like u llilcf at night It .steals In upon
us unawares. Many persons liavo pains
about tbu chest mid Hides, and sometimes
lu the luck. They feel dull and sleepy;
the mouth has a bad taste, especially in
in the morning. A sou of sticky slime
collects about tho teeth. The appetite is
poor. There Is n feeling like n heavy
loid on tho stomach; sometimes n faint
all-gone sensation ill the pit of tho
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
The eyes are sunken, the hands and feot
become cold anil feci clatniny. After n
wlille ii cough sets in at llrst diy, but
after a few months it Is attended with a
greenish colouied expectoration. The
nlllictcd one feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to nll'ord any rest.
After a time he becomes nenou, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore,
boilings. There is a giddiness, u sou of
whirling sensation in tho head when
rising up suddenly. The bow els become
costive; the skin is dry and hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of the eyes become tinged
with yellow, the urine is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a four
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
lastc; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of the heart; the vision
becomes Impaired with spots before the
eves; there is a feeling of great prostra
tion and weakness. All ot these symp
toms are In tuin present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
has this disease in borne of Its nrlul
forms. It has been found that medical
men hao mistaken the nature of this
disease. Some hao Heated it fora liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc ,
but none of the arious kinds of treat
ment havo been attended with success,
because the remedy should bo such as to
net harmoniously upon each one of these
oi gans, and upon tho stomach ns well ;
for in Dyspepsia (for this Is really what
the disease is) all of these organs partake
of this disease and require n remedy
that will act upon all at the same time.
Selgel's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
immediated relief. Thofollowinglettcrs

Sept. 23, 188'J. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter lccommcnding Mother
Selgel's Syrup. I havo ery much
pleasure in btlll bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills. Mostpatcnt medicines
dio out with me, but Motlier Seigel has
hud a steady sale ever since I com.
menced, and Is still In as gi cat demand
as when I first began to sell tho medi
cine. Tho cures which havo conio under
my notice arc chielly those of liver
complaint Und general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour
hood says it Is the only thing wkich lias
benefited him nnd lcstored hltu to his
normal condition of health alter boing
unable to pi each for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also u
great many other cases, but spaco would
not allow. A near friend ot mine, who
is very much addicted to costlvcncss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Selgel's
Pills are tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
leactlon which is very annoying.
Mother Selgel's Pills do not leave a bad
affcr-elVeet. I havo much pleasure In
eommendlng again to sulVciing human,
ity Mother Selgel's medicines, which
me no sham. If this letter is of any
service you cau publish It.
Yours very truly.
