WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a thief at night It steals In upon
Hi unawares. Many uons Imvu palm
about the elicit and Hides, and sometimes
In the hauls. They feci dull and sleepy;
the mouth has a had taslc, especially ill
in the morninc;. A sort of sticky slime
collects about the teeth. Thenppctlto is
jioor. There Is a feeling like u heavy
load on the stomach; sometimes a faint
all.gono sensation til the pit of the
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
The eyes are sunken, tho hand and feet
become cold and feel clammy. After a
while a cough sets In at llrst dry, but
after a few months It Is attended with a
greenish coloured (.pectination. The
allllctcd one feels tired all tho while, and
sleep does not seem to nll'ord any rest.
After a time he becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fbic
boilings. There is a giddiness, a soit of
whirling sensation in tho head when
rising up suddenly. Tiie bowels become
costive; tho skin is dry nudliot at limes;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
the whites of tho eyes becomo tinged
with yellow, tho urine isseanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment alter
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up of tlic.food, bomctimes with a sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
Visto; tills is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; tho vision
becomes impaired with spots before the
eyes; there is a feeling of great prostia
tfon and weakness. All ol these symp
toms are In turn present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
ban this disease in somo of its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men have mistaken tho nature of this
disease. Some havo treated it fora liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etu.,
but none of tho various kinds of treat
ment havo been attended with success,
because the remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, and upon tho stomach as well;
for iu Dyspepsia (for tills is really what
thodiseasoi.s) all of these organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that will act upon all at the same time.
Seigci's Curative Syrup acts like- n charm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
immediatcd relief. Tho following letters
from chemists of standing In tho com.
m unity where they live show In what
estimation tho article is held.
John Archer, Ilarthlll, near Sheffield:
I can confidently, recommend it to all
who may bo suffering from liver or
stomach complaints, having the testi
mony of my customers, who havo derived
great benefit from tho Syrup and Pills.
Tho salo is increasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. Webb, 141, York btrcct,
Belfast: I havo sold a large quantity,
and tho parties have testified to its being
what you represent it.
J. S. Metcalfe, C5, Illghgato, Kondal:
I have always great pleasure in recom
mending the Curative Syrup, for I havo
never known a case in which it lias not
relieved or cured, and I have sold many
Robt. G. Gould, 27, High Street,
Andover: I have always take a great

recommended them, as I havo found
numerous cases of euro from their use.
Thomas Chupinan, West Auckland :
I find that the trade steadily increases.
I sell more of your medicines than aiiy
N. Darroll, Cluu, Salop: All who buy

recommend tho Curative Syrup from
having proved its eflicacy for Indigestion
Frlockhoim, Arbroath, Forfarshire,
Sept. 20, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
bent you a letter lecommending Mother
Soigcl's Syrup. I havo very much
pleasure In still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills. Mostpatcnt medicines
dlo out with me, but Mother Scigcl has
had a steady sale ever since 1 com
menced, and Is still iu as crcat demand
as when I llrst began to sell the medi.
cine. Tho cures which have como under
my notice are chlelly those of liver
complaint and goacral debility.
A certain minister in my r.oighbour
hood says it is the only thing wklcli has
bencilted him nnd lcstored him to his
normal condition of health after being
unablo to preach for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also n
great many other cases, hut space would
not allow. A near friend ot mine, who
is very much addicted to costlvencss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Selgci's
Pills arc tho only pills which suit Ills
complaint. All other pills causo a
roactlon which Is very annoying.
Mother Selgci's Pills do not leave a bad
after-effect. I have much plcasuro in
commending again to suffering human,
ity Mother Selgci's medicines, which
nro no sham. If this letter is of any
service you can publish it.
"Youis very truly.

Dear Sir, I wrlto to tell you that Mr.
Henry Ilillier, of Yalesbury, Wills, in

torm of indigestion for upwards of four
years, and took no end of doctor's medi.
clno without tho slightest benefit, and
declares Mother SeigoTs Syrup which ho
got from mo lias saved ills life.
