WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMINC UPON US?
Like a thief'nt night it steals in upon
us unawares. Many persona havo pains
ubout tlic chest mid Rides, mid sometimes
in the back. They feci dull mid sleepy j
the mouth has ti had tnsio, especially in
in tho morning. A sort of dicky slime
collects about the teeth. Thoappctllo is
poor. .There is a feeling like a heavy
ioid on the stomach; sometimes a faint
all-gonu feunsatlon at thu pit of the
stomach which food does not satisfy.
Thu eyes mo sunken, the hands and feot
become cold and feel clammy. After a
while a cough sets in at first dry, but
after a few months it is attended with it
greOnlsh colouied expectoration. Tho
nfllicted one feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to afford any rest.
After n time ho becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and clooiny, and has evil foie
boilings. There is a giddiness, a mi t of
whirling sensation In tho head when
vising tip suddenly. The bowels become
costive; the skin is dry and hot at times;
tho blood becomes thick and stagnant;
the whites of tho eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urlno is scanty and high
coloured, depositing u sediment after
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
laste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of the heart; the vision
becomes impaired with spots before tho
eyes; there is a feeling ot gicat prostia
tion and weakness. All of theso synip
toms aro in turn present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
has this disease in somu of its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men havo mistaken tho nature of this
disease. Some havo treated itfora liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of tho various kinds of treat
ment havo been attended with success,
because tho remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of theso
oigans, and upon tho stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
tho diseaso is) all of these organs partnko
of this diseaso and recpiiro a remedy
that will act upon all at tho same time.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts llko acharm
In this class of complaints, giving almost
liumediated relief. Tlio following letters
tir from chemists of standing in tho com.
Itt munity where they live show in what
estimation the article is held.

Frlockhclm, Avbvoath, Forfarshire,
Sept. 23, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year 1
sent you a letter recommending Mother
Soigel's Syrup. I havo ery much
pleasure In still bearing testimony to tiio
very satlsfactoiy results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills. Most patent medicines
dlo out with me, but Mother Seigel has
had u steady salo ever slnco I com

as when I tlrst began to sell tho medl.
cine. The cures which have como under
my notice aro clilelly those of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood says it Is tho only thing w!ich has
benefited him and restored him to ills
normal condition of health after being
nnablo to preach for a considerable
length ot time. I couiu mention mso a
great many other cases, but spaco would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to nostiveness, or
constipation, finds that Mother Selgel's
Pills aro tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills causo a
reaction which is very annoying.
Mother Soigel's Pills do not leave a bud
after-effect. 1 havo much plcasuro In
commending again to suffering human

Youis very truly.
