WHAT 13 THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMIHC UPON US?
Like a thief at night It steals hi upon
us unawares. Many perfons havo p.iiii3
about the chest ami shies, and sometime.-)
In the back. They feel dull and sleepy;
the mouth has a bad taste, especially in
In the morning. A .sou of btlcky slime
collects about the teeth. Thu appetite is
poor. There is a feeling like u heavy
load on the stomach; sometimes n faint
all-gone sensation at the pit of the
.stomach which food (loos not satisfy.
The eyes arc suukon, the hands and feet
become cold and feel clninmy. After a
-while a cough sets lu at first dry, but
after a few months it Is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
nllllelcd one feels tired all the while, and
sleep docs not seem to afford any icst.
After ii llmo ho becomes nervous, Inlta
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore
bodings. There is n giddiness, a soit of
whirling sensation in the head when
vising up suddenly. The bowels become
costive; tho skin Is dry nudhot at times;
tho blood becomes thick and stagnant;
the whites of tho eyes become tinged
with yellow, the urine is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, and tometlmcs wish a sweetish
lastu; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; the vision
becomes Impaired witli spots before the
eyes; there is a feeling ol great prostra
tion and weakness. All of these symp
touts am in tmu present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
has this disease in some of its nried
forms. It has been found tint medic tl
men havo mistaken the nature of this
disease. Somo havo treated itfora liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of tho various kinds of treat
ment have been nttended with bucccss,
because the remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon eaeli one of these
oignns, and upon the stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of theso organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that will act upon all at the same time.
Seigel's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
imiiiedlated relief. Thofollowinglcttcrs
from chemists of standing in the com
munity where they live show in what
estimation the artlclo is held.
John Archer, Hartlilll, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all

Geo. A. Webb, 111, York Street,

and tho parties have testified to its being
what you ropresent it.
J. S. .Metcalfe, G3, Highgato, Kcmlnl:

Sept. 23, 1883. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter lecommcndlng -Mother
Soigel's Syrup. I havo very much
plcasuio in still bearing testimony to tho
very sitisfactory lesults of the famed
Syrup and Pills. Mostpatent mcdiclucs
dlo out with 'me, but Mother Scigel has
had a steady sale ever since I com
menced, and Is still in as great demand
as when I first began to sell tho medi
cine. Tho elites which have come under
my notice aro chlclly thoso of liver
complaint ami general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood says it is tho only thing wltich lias
benefited him and restored him to hta
normil condition of health after being
unable to preacli for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also u
great many other cases, but space would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to costlvencss, or
constlpition, finds that Mother Seigel's
Pills aro tho only pills which suit Ills
complaint. All other pills causo a
reaction which Is very annoying.
Mother Seigel's Pills do not leavo a bad
iiftor-elluct. I havo much plcasuio in
commending again to sullerlng luininn
ity Mother Soigel's medicines, which
aio no sham. If this letter is of any
bervlco you cm publish it.
Yours very truly.
