WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a thief at night it steals In upon
us unawares. Many persons have pains
about thu chest and sides, and sometimes
In tho back. Th'cy feel dull and sleepy;
the mouth has a bad taste, especially In
in tho morning. A sort of sticky slime
collects about the teeth. The appetite Is
poor. Thcro is it feeling like u heavy
load on tho stomach; sometimes a faint
all.gouc sensation nt the pit of tho
stomach which food docs not sUlsfy.
Tho eyes arc sunkcu, the hands and feot
become cold and feel clammy. After a
otitic a cmgh sets in at llrst diy, but
after a few months it is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
nlllicted one feels tired all the while, and
sleep docs not seem to ailbrd any rest.
After a time he becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore.
bournes. There Is a gld

costive; the skin 13 dry and hot nt times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urine i3 scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
lasto; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; tho lsion
becomes impaired with spots befoie tho
oyes; thcro is a feeling ot great prostra
tion nnd weakness. All of theso symp

that nearly one-third of our population
has this disease in some of its taricd
forms. It has been found that medical
men havo mistaken tho nature of this
disease. Some have treated It forn liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but uono of the arlous kinds of treat
ment liavo been attended with success,
because tho remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, and upon the stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
tho disease is) all of these organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that will act upon all at the samo time.
Seigcl's Curatlvo Syrup acts like a charm
in tills cla33 of complaints, giving almost
immedialcd relief. Tho following letters

estimation the article is held.

sent you a letter recommending Mother

A certain minister in my neighbour,

benefited him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after being
unable to preach for u considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, but spneo would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
Is very much addicted to costlvcncss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigcl's
Pills aro tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a

Mother Sclgel's Pills do not lcavo a bad

commending again to suffering human,
