IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Llko a thief ut night It Meals In upon
us unawares. Many persons hnvo pains
nbout the chest mid sides, and sometimes
la tho back. Thoy feel dull and sleepy j
the mouth lias a bad taste, especially in
iu the morning. A sort of sticky pllinc
collects about tho teeth. The appetite is
poor. Tliero Is ft feeling like n heavy
load on tho stomach; sometimes n faint
nll-gono sensation at tho pit of tho
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
Tho eyes arc sunken, the hands mid feet
become cold and feel clammy. After a
while n cough sets In at ilrst dry, but
after a few months it is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. Tho
nlllictcd one feels tired all tho while, and
sleep does not bccm to atl'ord any rest.
After a time ho becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore
boilings. There is a giddiness, u sort of
whirling sensation in tho head when
vising up suddenly. Tho bdwcls become
costive; tho skin is dry and hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho oyes becomo tinged
with yellow, tho urlno is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is lrcqucntly a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with n sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
jasto; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; the vision
becomes impaired with spots before tho
eyes; there is a feeling ot great prostra
tion and weakness. All ot these symp
toms are In turn present. It Is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
has this disease In some of its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men havo mistaken the nature of this
disease. Somo havo treated It for a liver
complaint, others for kidnoy disease, etc.,
but noiio of the various kinds of treat
ment have been nttended with success,
" bec.iuso tho remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oi guns, ami upon tho stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
tho disease is) all of theso organs partake
of this discaso and require a remedy
that will net upon all at the same time.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts like n charm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
Immcdlatcd relief. The following letters
from chemists of standing iu tho com.
munlty uhcro thoy live show in what
estimation tho articlo is held.
John Archer, Harthlll, near Sheffield:
I can conlldently recommend it to all
who may bo sull'erlng from liver or

Geo. A. Webb, Ml, York Street,
Belfast: I havo bold a largo quantity,

what you represent it.
J. S. Metcalfe, 55, Ilighgnte, Kendal:

Hobt. G. Gould, 27, High Street,

Frlockhcim, Arbroath, Forfarshire,
Sept. 23, 1832. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter rccommcudlug Mother
Seigcl's Syrup. I havo very much
plcasuro In still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills. Mostpatent medicines
die out with mo, but Mother Soigel has
had a steady salo over slnco I com.

as when I first began to sell tho medl.
cine. Tho cures which have como under
my notice urc chiefly those of liver
complaint and general debility.
'A certain minister In my neighbour,
hood'snys it is tho only tiling wltich has
bcnclttcd him and restored him to. his
normal condition of health after being
unable to preach for n considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, but spaco would
hot allow. A near friend of mine, who
Is very much addicted to costlvcncss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigcl's
Tills aro tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
reaction which is very annoying.
Mother Seigcl's l'ills do not leave u bad
ufter.cttcct. I have much plcasuro in
commending again to sull'erlng human.
