WHAT
IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a thief at night it steals in upon
us unawares. Many persons have pains
about the chest and shies, and sometimes
In thu back. They feel (lull and sleepy ;
the mouth has a had taste, especially in
in the morning. A soitof sticky slime
collects about thctccth. Theappctito Is
poor. There la a feeling like a heavy
load on the stomach; sometlmc3 u faint
all-gouo sensation nt tho pit of the
stomach -which food does not satisfy.
Tho eyes aro sunken, tho hands and foot
become cold and feel clammy. After n
wlillc a cough nets in at Ural dry, but
after a few months it is attended -w itli a
greenish colouicd expectoration. Tho
atllictcd ono feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to allbid any teat.
After a time he heroines nervous, lirita
ble. and gloomy, anil has evil fore,
boilings. There is a giddiness, a soil of
whirling sensation in thu head when
rising tip suddenly. Tho bow els becomo
costive; tho akin is dry anil hot nt times ;
tho blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of the eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urino is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sulimcnt after
standing. Theto Is frequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
laste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; tho vision
becomes Impaired with spots before thu
eyes; there Is a feeling of great piostra
tion and weakness. All of theto symp
toms are In tuin picscut. It Is thought
that neaily one-third of our population
has. tills disease in somo of its utrlcd
forms. It has been found that incdioil
men hau mistaken tho nuttirc of this
disease. Somo liavu treated it forii liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of tho Mirlous kinds of treat
ment have been attended with success,
because the remedy should bo such as to
act harmoniously upon eaeh one of these
01 gang, and upon the stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for tills is really what
the disease is) all of these organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that will act upon all at the same time.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
In tliia class of complaints, giving almost
inimcdiultd relief. Tlio follow Ingleltcrs
fiom cheinUts of biumling in the com.
munity whcio they live show in what
estimation tho article is held.
John Archer, llartliill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may be sulicring from liver or
stomach complaint'., having the testi
mony of my customers, w ho have del I ved
great benefit fiom tho Syi up and Pills.
The sale is inuiciislng wonderfully.
Geo. A. Webb, 111, York btiect,
Belfast: I liavo sold a largo quantity,
and tho putties lime testitlcd to its being
what you ropresent it.
.1. S. Metcalfe, 03, Highgate, Kendal:
I ha o always great pleasuro in rccom.
mending the Uuratlvo Symp, for I have
never known a case In which it has not
lolievcd or cuied, and 1 liuvo sold ni my
triosses.
llobt. O. Gould, 27, High Street,
Andovcr: I have always take a great
inteiest in your medicines and 1 hao
lccommeudcd tlicm, as 1 ltavo found
uumcious cases of euro fiom their use.
Thomas Chapman, West Auckland :
1 find that the trade steadily Increases.
I bell more of your medicines than any
other kind.
N. Darroll, Clini, Salop: All who buy
it aro pleased, aud recommend it.
Jos. Bflkwill, A. P. S., Kiugsbihlge:
The public seem to npprccTato their
great value.
A. Armstcad, Market Street, Dalton.ln
Furness: It is needless for me to say
that your valuable medicines liavo great
sale in tills district greater than tmy
other I Know of, giving grout satis
faction.
llobt. Lainc, Mclksham: I can well
recommend tho Curative Syrup from
having proved its ethcacy for indigestion
myself.
Friockhclm, Arbroath, Forfarshire,
Sept. !2:i, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
hcnt you a letter recommending Mother
Seigcl's Symp. I huvo cry much
plcasuio in still beuiing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Symp and Pills, Mostpatent medicines
die out with me, but Mother Beigel lias
had a steady sale over since I com
menced, and is still in as great demand
as when I first bog.in to sell tho modi,
cine. The cures w hlcli have como under
my notlco tiro chiolly llioso of liver
complaint and general debility.
A curtain miulsler in my neighbour,
hood says it is tho only thing wfclch lias
benefited him and jostorcd him to his
normal condition of health nfies being
unable to preach for n considerable
length of time. I could mention also a'
great many other cases, lint space would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much addicted to costivencss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigcl's
Pills aro tho only pills which suit ills
complaint. All other pills causo a
icactlon which is very annoying.
Mother Seigcl's Pills do not leave u bad
after-oiled. 1 havo much pleasuio in
commending again to millerlng human,
ity Mother Seigcl's medicines, which
aro no sham. It litis letter is of any
heivice you cun publish it.
A'ouis very truly.
(Signed) William S. Glass, Chemist.
