WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THffis
COMING UPON US?
Like n thief ut night it steals In upon
us unawares. Many persons have pains
about the chest and sides, and sometimes
In tho back. They feol dull and sleepy s
tho mouth has a bad taste, especially 'in
in tho morning. A sort of sticky slime
collects about tho teeth. Thunppctllo is
poor. There is a feeling like n heavy
load on tho stomach; sometimes u faint
nil-gone sensation ut the pit of the
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
The eyes aro sunken, tho hands and feet
become cold and feel clammy. After a
while a cough sets in ut first dry, hut
after a few mouths it is attended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
tillllcted one feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not bccm to ullbril any rest.
After a time ho becomes nervous, irrita
ble, und gloomy, and has evil fore
boilings. There is ft giddiness, u sort of
whirling sensation in tho head when
rising up suddenly. Tho bowels become
costive; tho skin is dry nnd hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes become tinged
witli yellow, tho urine is scanty ami high
coloured, depositing a. sediment niter
standing. There islicq'uentlyn spitting
up of the food, sometimes with it sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
jasto; this lsfrcqucntly attended with
palpitation of the heart; the vision
becomes impaired with snots before tho
oyes; thcro is a feeling or great prostra
tion and weakness. All of these symp
toms are In turn present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
has this disease in some of its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men hao mistaken the nature of this
disease. Some have treated It for a liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of. the various kinds of treat
ment lmvo been attended with success,
because the remedy should be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, and upon tho stomach as well;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of theso organs partake
of this discaso and require n remedy
that will act upon all at the same lime.
Seigel's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
In this class of complaints, giving almost
limncdiatcd relief. ThefolTowlnglctters

Sept. 23, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter recommending Mother
Seigel's Syrup. I havo very much
pleasure In still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of the famed
Syrup and Pills. Most patent medicines
die out with me, but Mother Soigcl has
had a steady sale ever since I com
monced, and Is still in as great demand
as when I first began to sell the medi.
cine. Tho cures which have come under
my notice nro chiefly those of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain niluistcr in my neighbour,
hood says It is the only thing wMch has
benefited him and restored hlni to his
uoi mal condition of health after being
unable to preach for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, hut space would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
Is very much addicted to costiveness, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigel's
Pills are tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills causo n
reaction which is very nnnoying.
Mother Seigel's Pills do not leave a bad
after.ellect. I lmvo much pleasure In
commending again to tjuiVering human,
ity Mother Seigel's medicines, which
are no sham. If this letter Is of any
service you can publish it.
Yours very truly.
