WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like n thief at night it steals in upon
us unawares. Jinny persons have pains
about tbu chest and shies, mill sometimes
In tlio back. Tlicy feci dull and sjccpv j
the mouth lias a bad taste, especially In
in the morning. A sort of sticky slime
collects nbout tlie teeth. The appetite Is
poor. There is n feeling like u heavy
load on the stomach; sometimes a faint
nll.gono sensation at the pit of tlie
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
The eyes nro sunken, the hands and feet
become cold ana feci clammy. After n
while a cough sets In at tlrst dry, but
after a few months it is uttended with a
greenish coloured expectoration. Tlie
mulcted ono feels tired all the while, and
sleep does not seem to afford any lest.
After a time he becomesiervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore
bodings. Thero is a giddiness, n sort of
whirling sensation in tho, head when
rising tip suddenly. The bowels become
costive; tho skin is drynndjiot nt times;
tho blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes becomo tinged
with yellow, tho urino is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is frequently n spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
taste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of the heart; tho vision
becomes impaired with spots before tho
eves; there is a feeling ot great prostra
tion and weakness. All ol these syinp
toms nro in tuin present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
lias this diseaso in some of Its varied
fdrm's. It has been found that medical
men have mistaken the nature of this
diseaso. Somo have treated it for a liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of the various kinds of treat
ment hnvo been nttended with siicccs,
beqauso the remedy should bo such ns to
net harmoniously upon each one of these
oigaus, anil upon the stomach as well;
for in .Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of tticsc organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that 'will net upon all at tlie same time.
Seigcl's Curativo Syrup acts like acliarm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
imtncdialcd relief. ThcfolTowinglcttcrs
from chemists of standing in the com.
muuity whore they live show in what
estimation tho article is held.
John Archer, llarthill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may bo suucrlng from liver or
stomach complaints, having the testi

great bencllt from tho Syrup and Pills.
Tho salo is increasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. Webb, 141, York btreet,
Belfast: I havo sold u largo quantity,
and tho parties have testified to its being
what you represent it.
J. S. Metcalfe, 55, Ilighgate, Kendal:
I havo always great pleasure in recom

Sept. 2a, 188. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you u letter recommending Mother
Solgel's Syrup. T haws very much
pleasure in still bearing testimony to tlio
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills. Mostpatent medicines
die out with me, but Mother Scigel has
had a steady salo ever since I com.
menced, ami is still in as great demand
as when I first bcg.tu to sell the medi
cine. Tlie cures which havo come under
my notico nro chiefly thoso of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood says It is the only thing wVilch has
benefited him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after boing
unable to preach for n considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, but space would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
is very much nddicted to costiveness, or
constipation, finds that Mother Seigcl's
Pills are tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause n
reaction which Is very annoying.
Mother Solgel's Pills do not leavo it bad
nfter-eileet. I havo much pleasure in
commending again to buuorlng human,
ity Mother Seigcl's medicines, which
nro no sham. If this letter is of any
service you can publish It.
Yours very truly.
