. WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like a thief nt night it steals in upon
us unaware. Jinny persons hnvu pains
ubout the chest nnd shies, nnd sometimes
III the back. They feel (lull nnd sleepy;
the mouth has n bad taste, especially In
lutho morning. A sou of sticky slime
collects nbout tho teeth. ThonppVtlle Is
poor. There Is n feeling like 11 heavy
load on tho stomach; sometimes a faint
nil-gone icusation at tho pit of tho
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
Tho eyes aro sunken, the bauds and foot
become cold nnd feel clammy. After n
while a cough sets in at first dry, but
after a few mouths it is attended witli a
greenish coloured expectoration. Tho
alilictcd 0110 feels tired all tho while, anil
sleep does not seem to all'ord any lest.
After n time ho becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and lias evil fore
boilings. Tlicro Is 11 glddiiic.s, 11 soil of
whirling sensation in tho head when
rising up suddenly. Tho bowels become'
costive; tho skin is dry nnd hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urino is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. There is frequently a spitting
up of tho food, sometimes with 11 tour
taste, ami bpmetimes with u swcetNi
laste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of tho heart; tho vision
becomes Impaired with spots before tho
ucs; thero is u feeling ot gicat prostra
tion and weakness. All ot these symp
loins aio In tuin piesent. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our populutlon
has this disease in some of its uilul
forms. It his been found tint lnedicil
men lime mistaken tho n Uuro of this
disease. Some have treated itfora liver
complaint, othei s for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of the arious kinds of treat
ment have been attended with success,
because the remedy should bo such as to
act harmoniously upon each 0110 of tlifso
oigans, and upon the stomach as well;
for In Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of these organs pnrtako
of this disease and require a remedy
that will act upon all at the same time.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
In this class of complaints, giving almost
linmcdiatcdiellcf. Tho following letters

sent you a letter recommending Mother

pleasure in still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of tho famed

my notice aro chiefly those of liver
complaint and general debility.
A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood says it is tho only tiling wklch lias
benefited him and restored him to his
normal condition of health after being
unable to preach for 11 considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
gicat many other cases, but snnco would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
Is very much addicted to costlvencss, or
constipation, finds that Mother Selgel's
l'llls nro tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
icnctlon which is very annoying.
Mother Selgel's l'llls do not lcavo u bad
