IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like n thief at night It stents in upon
us unawares. Many persons lmvo pains
about the chest and sides, and sometimes
In the back. They feci dull and sleepy;
the mouth lias a bad taste, especially in
In the morning. A sort of sticky slitnc
collects about thctceth. Tlionppetlto is
poor. Thero is n feeling like n lieavy
toad on the stomach; sometimes a faint
nll-gono sensation at tho pit of tho
stomach which fooit docs not satisfy.
Tho eyes nro sunken, the hands and feet
become cold and feel clammy. After n
"whilo a cough sets In at (list dry, but
after a few months it is attended with a
green iidi coloured expectoration. Tho
alllicted ouu feels tired all the while, and
slcop does not seem to afford any rest.
After n time he becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and has evil fore
boilings. There is a giddiness, a soit of
whirling sensation In tho head when
rising up suddenly. Tho bowels become
costive; tho skin is dry and hot at times;
tho blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes become tinged
wlthycllow, the uriuo Is scanty andltlgh
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. Thcio is ircqucntly a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with u eour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
lasto; tlds is frequently 'attended with
palpitation of tho heart; the vision
becomes impaired with snots bofore tho
oyc3; there is u feeling ot great prostra
tion nnd weakness. All of these Hymp
toms are In turn present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
h:i3 this disease In somo of Its arltd
forms. It 1ms been found that medical
men Ituvo mistaken tho nature of this
disease. Somo havo treated itforn liver
complaint, others for kidnoy disease, etc.,
but none of tho 'various kinds of treat
ment have been attended with success,
bccau&o the remedy should bo such as to
net harmoniously upon each onoof these
oigans, anil upon thu stomach nswell;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
tho Vliseaso is) all of theso organs partake
of this diseaso nnd require a remedy
that will act tipon all at tho same time.
Scigcl's Curative Syi up nets like acharm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
immediated relief. The following letters
from chemists of standing in tho com.
inunlty where, they live show in what
estimation tho article is held.

Sept. 23, 1832. Dear Sir, Last year I
sent you a letter recommending Mother
Seigel's Syrup. I havo very much
pleasuro In still bearing testimony to tho
very satisfactory results of tho famed

A certain minister in my neighbour,
hood says It Is tho only thing which hns
benefited him nnd icstored litm to his
normal condition of health after bolng

great many other cases, but spneo would
not allow. ,A near friend of mine, who
is very much nddlctcd to costlvcncss, or
constipation, finds thnt Mother Seigel's
Pills aro tho only pills which suit his
complaint. All othor pills causo n

Mother Seigel's Pills do not leavo u bad
