late R. A. Alexander, and was sold to
W. L. Pritchard, of Sacramento, Cab,

weighs 1,00! lbs., and is a bright chest
nut color. During his lacing career he
downed many n favorite, and won many
a hatful of money for his owners, and
iuocd himself one of the greatest of
horses over n distance, most of his races
being nt two and four miles. Ho has
already sired several colls in California
that arc winner)-, among which aic
Lizzie Dunbar. Young Bazaar, Sophia,
and another called tho Bazaar Minerva
Colt, ho being out of Minerva by Im
poited Leamington, the sire of Parolo
and Iroquoii. Lizzie Dunbar greatly
distinguished herself last year in her
two-year-old form by defeating one of
the largest iTclds ot two-year-olds that
ever started in uaiiiornia, among wlilch
were the two beautiful fillies In ought
here last Spring by Mr. Agncw, distnucc

record for two-ycar-olds at tho distance.
This year she has won several important
events, and has proved herself to be a

beautiful dappio grey, 10 hands high,
and weighs 1,400 lbs.: is very nctive,
and as line a large horse as could be
found anywhere.

tucky Jack Sampson. This is one
of the largest Jacks thafwe could llnd
in California, and is an animal of im
mense bono; is u very sum breeder, and
should be liberally patronized, as he is
one of the very best animals of his
