WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMIHD UPON US?
Like a thief at night it steals in upon
us nitnwnies. Many penroim lmvu pains
about the chest nmf sides, mid Bometlmcs
in the bnok. They feel dull and sleepy j
the mouth lias a bid taste, especially in
in the morning. A sort of sticky slime
collects about thclceth. Thoappetilc is
poor. There is a feeling llko a heavy
load on the stomach; sometimes :i faint
all-gouo sensation at tho pit of the
. stomach which looil does not sttibfy.
The eyes arc sunken, the hands and feet
become cold and feel clammy. After a
wiiilo a cough sets in at flist diy, but
after n few months it is attended with a
grcenHi colmncd cxpeclonition. The
alllictcd one feels tiled all the while, and
sleep docs not seem to allbid any lost.
After a time he becomes nervous, irrita
ble, and gloomy, and lias evil fore,
boilings. "There is a giddiness, a sot t of
whirling sensation in tho head when
rising up suddenly. Tho bowels become
costlvu; the skin is dry and hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of the eyes become tinged
with yellow, tho urine is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment alter
standing. Tlioio isliequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes with a sour
taste, and sometimes Uih a-sweetish
lasto; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of the heart; tho vision
becomes impaired with spots before tho
eyes; there is a feeling of great prostra
tion and weakness. All of these symp
toms arc in turn present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our population
lias this disease in some of its varied
founs. It has been found that medical
mqn have mistaken the nature of this
disease. Some have treated it for a liver
complaint, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none ot the various kinds of treat
ment have been attended with success,
because the lemcdy should be such as to
, act harmoniously upon each one of these
oi gans, and upon tdie stomach as well ;
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really what
the disease is) all of these organs partake
of this discaso and require a remedy
that will act upon all at the same lime.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
in this class of complaints, giving almost
iminediated relief. Thcfollowingletleis
from chemists of standing in the com-
munity where they live show in what
estimation the article is held.
John Archer, Ilarthill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may bo suffering from liver or
stomach complaints, having the testi

great benelit from the Syrup and Tills.

sent you a letter recommending Mother

die out with inc, but Mother Scigel has
had a steady sale ever since I com
