WHAT S THIS DISEASE THAT IS
COMING UPON US?
Like n thief at night it steals In upon
us unawares. Many person') have pains
about the chest and sides titid sometimes
In the back. They feel dull nnd sleepy;
the mouth has a bad taste, especially In
In the morninz. A sort of sticky sllmc
collects about thotccth. Theappctlto Is
poor. Thuro is h feeling like u heavy
load on the stomuch; sometimes a faint
all.gonc sensation nt the pit of the
stomach which food docs not satisfy.
The eyes are sunken, the hands and fct
become cold ntirt feel clammy. After a
while a cough sets In at llrst thy, but
after n few months It is attended w ith a
greenish coloured expectoration. The
afflicted one feels tired all tlto while, and
sleep does not seem to nflbid any rc-t.
Alter a lime no becomes neivous, lrina
hle, and clo&tny, and has evil fore,
boaings. There is a giddiness, a sort of
whirling scnsition In tho head when
rising up suddenly. The bowels heroine
costive; tho skin is ary and hot at times;
the blood becomes thick and stagnant;
tho whites of tho eyes become tinged
with yellow, the urlno is scanty and high
coloured, depositing a sediment after
standing. Thoio Islrequently a spitting
up of the food, sometimes w ith, a sour
taste, and sometimes with a sweetish
laste; this is frequently attended with
palpitation of the heart; tho vision
becomes impaired with spots before the
eyes; there is a feeling of great prostra
tion and weakness. All of these symp
toms are In tuin present. It is thought
that nearly one-third of our populetfon
has this disease in some of its varied
forms. It has been found that medical
men have mistaken the nature of this
disease. Some hae treated it fora liver
complahU, others for kidney disease, etc.,
but none of the arious kinds of treat
ment have been attended with success,
because the remedy shou)d be such as to
act harmoniously upon each one of these
oigans, and upon the stomach as well';
for in Dyspepsia (for this is really w hat
the disease is) all of these organs partake
of this disease and require a remedy
that will act upon all at the same lime.
Seigcl's Curative Syrup acts like a charm
in tuls class of complaints, giving almost
immedialed relief. The following letters
from chcm,'t8 of standing in tlie com
munity where they live show in what
estimation the article is held
John Archer, Hurthill, near Sheffield:
I can confidently recommend it to all
who may be suffering from liver or
stomach complaints, having the test!.;
mony of my customers, who havedcrived
great benefit from the Syrup and Pills.
The sale Is Incieasing wonderfully.
Geo. A. Webb, 141, Yoik btrcct,
Belfast: I havo sold a largo quantity,
and the parties ha've testified to its being
what you represent It.
J. S. Metcalfe, G5, Highgate, Kendal:
I havo always grcapleasuro in rccom.
mending tho Curative Syrup, for I have
never known a case in which it has not
relieved or cured, and I have sold many
gjosses.
Uobt. G. Gould, 27," High Street,
Andovcr: I have always take u gicat
interest in your medlciues and I hao
recommended them, as I havo found
numerous cases of euro from their use.
Thomas Chapman, West Auckland:
I find that the trade steadily increases.
I sell more of your medicines than any
other kind.
Frlockkclm, Arbroath, Forfarshire,
Sept. 23, 1882. Dear Sir, Last year 1
sent you a letter recommending Mother
Sulgel's Syrup. I' havo very much
pleasure In still bearing testimony to the
very satisfactory results of tho famed
Syrup and Pills Mostpatent medicines
die out with me, but Mother Seigd has
had a steady sale ever sinco I com
menced, and Is still in as great demand
as when I first began to sell the medi
cine. Tho cures whlclrhave come under
iriy notico are chiefly those of liver
complaint and general debility.
N. Darroll, Clun, Salop: All who buy
It uro pleased, ana recommend it.
Jos Balkwill, A. P. S., Kingsbrldgo:
Tho public seem to appreciate their
great value. ,
A. Armstead, Market Street, Dalton.ln
Furness: It is needless for mo to say
that your valuable medicines havo great
salo in this district greater than any
othor I know of, giving greut satis
faction.
Robt. Laine, Mclksham: I can well
recommend tho Curative Syrup from
having proved its eflicacy for indigestion
myself.
A certain minister In my neighbour,
hood. t.ays It Is tho only thing which has
benefited him nnd restored him to his
normal condition of health after bolng
unablo to preach for a considerable
length of time. I could mention also a
great many other cases, but maco would
not allow. A near friend of mine, who
Is very much addictod to cbstlvencss, oi
constipation, finds that Mother Seigcl's
PHU aroho only pills which suit his
complaint. All other pills cause a
reaction which is very annoying.
Mother Sllgel's Pills do not leave a bad
after-effect. I have much plcasuro in
commending again to suffering human,
ity Mother Siigtl'u medicines, which
aro no sham. If this letter is of any
service you can publish It.
Yours very truly.
(Signed) William S. Glass, Chemist.

Doar Sir, I write to tell you that Mr.,
Henry JUlucr, oi latesnury, wins, in.
orms me that he suffered from ftsovero
form of Indigestion for'upwards of four
years, and took no end ot doctor's ineill
clno without tho slightest beneflt, and
declares Mothor Seigcl's Syrup which he
got from mo has saved his life.
