VENTURE.
rpHIS fast trotting stallion lias been
X withdrawn from training and will
now bo kept, for stock purposes exclu
sively. He has shown as much speed as
over and had it not been for on acci
dent which befell him a few days be
fore the race, he being dead lame on the
11th, wc think that ho would have giv.
en tbe gang a hard tussle for tho money.
He Is now all right again, and is being
regularly jogged nt the track, and can
show close to a 2:U0 clip at any time
that ho is called upon. This kind of
treatment has been found by long ex
perience to be tho right plan to adopt
with a stallion, us by it he is not only a
surer foal-gclter, but also ho will
transmit n greater amount of speed,
energy and vigor to his offspring. This
plan is now the, rulu in nil of the large
breeding establishments everywhere.
To parties owning good marcs this is
an opportunity that should not bo ucg
looted, for Venture, with his lino breed
ing nnd great speed, I consider the most
desirable stock horse in the country.
Mr. Campbell tells me that of all of the
horses that ho has imported to tills coun
try, which is probably a dozen or more,
he likes ills colts by Venture better than
any of them, which is surely proof
enough of his qualities as a stock-gctter.
Mures will lie taken to the Park nnd
returned free of charge. For any addi
tional particulars apply lo corner of
Punchbowl und Queen streets.
