in Its Early Stages.
The disease connnences with a slight
derangement of tho stonineh, but, if
ncelcctcd. it in time involves the wholo
frame, embracing tho kidneys, liver,
pancreas, and in fact the entile gland,
ular system; and the alllictcd drags out
a miserable existence until death gives
relief from suffering. Tho disease Is
often mistaken for other complaints;
but If the reader will ask himself the
following questions he will be able to
determine whether lie himself is one of
the alllictcd: Have I distress, pain, or
difficulty in breathing after eating? Is
there a dull, heavy feeling, attended by
drowsiness? llae the eyes a yellow
tlngoV Does a thick, sdeky mucous
gather about the gums and teeth in the

If 'the liver were enlarging? Is there

Does food ferment boon after eating,
accompanied by ilatulenco.or belching

various symptoms may not lie present at
one time, but they totmcat the sufferer

greases. If the case lie one of long
standing, there will be a dry, hueUing
cough, attended alter a time by oxpec
toratiou. In very advanced stages tho
skin assumes a "dirty brownish appear,
mice, and the bunds aud feet are covered
bv a cold sticky perspiration. As tho
liver and kidneys become more and
more diseased, rheumatic pains appear,
and the usual treatment proves entirely
unavailing against the latter agonising
disorder. Tho origin of this malady is
indigestion or dyspepsia, and a small
quantity of the proper medicine will
remove the disease it taken in its inclp
iency. It Is most important that tho
disease should be promptly and properly
treated in its iir&t stages, when a little
medicine will cil'cct a cure, and even
when it has obtained a stiong hold tho
correct remedy should be persevered in
until every vestige of the disease is
eradicated, until the appetite has return
ed, and tho digestive organs restored to
a healthy condition. The surest and
most effectual remedy for this distress
Ing complaint Is "Seigel's Curative
Syrup." a vegetable preparation sold by
all chemists and mdiclne vendors
throughout the world, and by tho pio
prietors, A. J. White, Limited, London,
E. C. This Syrvp strikes at the. very
foundation of the disease, and drives it,
root and branch, out of tho system. Ask
your chemist for SeigcVs Curative
syrup.

"Sir, It gives mo great pleasure to be

your valuablo Syrup as a curative agent.
I had buffered for somo length of time

the long train of distressing symptoms
following that dlseiibc. I hud tried all
possible mentis to get relief, by seeking
the best mcdiciii advice. I had swallow,

so to speak, but all to no avail.
A friend of mine, coming on the scene
In tho midst of my sufferings, brought
with him a bottle of your Seigel Syiup;
he advised me to try it, btating he felt
confident it would bcnellt me. Relug
weary of trying fo many drugs, 1 con

After doing so for a short time it work,

taking it for nearly two months, and I
then felt thoroughly cured, for 1 have
discontinued its use for live weeks, and

"Gentlemen, It Is with great pleas,
uro that I add my testimony to the
wonderful effects of Seigel's Syrup. For
years I nad been suffering from bilious
attacks, which began with giddiness;
then a mist would come before my eyes,
so that I should not be able to recognise
any ono or anything at the distance of a
yard or two from my face. This would
be followed by excessive trembling of
my knees, so that I could not stand
without support; after which a severe
headache would occur, lasting often two
or tlneo dags. I have tried various
remedies for these distressing symptoms,
but until 1 tried Selgol's byrup I had no
relief. Since then 1 have had excellent
health in every respect, and if ever I
feel a headache coming on I tako one
doso of the Syrup, which arrests it.
Hoping that tills testimonial may bo tho
means of Inducing others (who suffer as
I used) to liy the Syrup, as I feel sure
they will receive speedy bcnellt and
ultimately bo cured, iyjeg to remain,
yoprs faithfully,
"A. II. IIouton."

This was followed by a cough and
