Wo should Blot Out DisonBO
in Its Early Stages.
The disease commences with a slight
derangement of tho stomnch, but, if
neglected", It in lime involves tho whole
frame, embracing the kidneys, liver,
pancrens, and in fact the entire gland,
ular system; nnd tho allllctcd drags out
n miserable existence until death gives
relief from sutlcrlng. Tho disease is
often mistaken for other complaints;
but If tho reader will ask hlmsolf the
following questions he will bo nble to
determine whether ho himself is one of
the atlllotcds Have I distress, pain, or
dillleulty in breathing after eating? Is
there a dull, heavy feeling, attended by
drowsiness? Have the eyes u yellow
(luge? Docs a thick, sticky mucous
gather about the gums nnd teeth in the
mornings, accompanied by n disngrce
able taste? Is tho tongtio coated? Is
there pain in the sides and back? Is
thero a fullness about tho right sido ns
If tlio liver weio enlarging? Is thero
vertigo or dizziness when rising sud.
denly from an horizontal position? Aro
the secretions from tho kidneys highly
coloured, with a deposit after standing?
Does food ferment soon after eating,
accompanied by llaluleucc or belching
of gas from tlio stomach? Is there fre
queul palpitation of the heart? These
various symptoms may not be present at
one time, but they tormcHt tho sufferer
in turn us tho dreadful disease pro
gresses. If the caso bo ono of long
standing, ihoro will bo a dry, hacking
cough, attended nfter a time by expec
toration. In very advanced stages tho
skin assumes a dirty brownish appear
mice, and the hands and feet arc covered
by a cold sticky persplrntion. As tlio
liver nnd kidneys become more nnd
more dheased, rheumatic pains appear,
and the usual treatment proves entirely
unavailing against the latter agonising
disorder. Tho origin of this malndy is
indigestion or dyspeptia, and a small
quantity of the proper medicine will
remove tno disease it taKcn in its incip
iency. It is most important that the
discaso should be promptly and properly
treated in its first stages, When n littlo
medicine will clleot a cure, and even
when it lias obtained a stiong hold the
correct lcmedy shpiild bo persevered in
until every vestige of the disease is
eradicated, until the appetite lias return
ed, and the digestive organs.rcstorcd to
a healthy condition. The surest and
most ell'ectual remedy for this distress
ing complaint is "Sclgel's" Curative
Syrup," a vegetable preparation sold by
alt chemists and mdicinc vendors
throughout the world, and by the pro
prietors, A. J. White, Limited, London,
E. C. This Syrvp strikes at the very
foundation of the disease, and drives it,
root and branch, out of the system. Ask
your chemist for ScigcPs Curativo

"Sir, Jt gives me great pleasure to be
able to add my testimony in favour of
your valuable Syrup as a curative agent.
I had suffered for some length of time
from a severe form of indigestien, and
the long train of distressing symptoms
followlnc that disease. I had tried all
, possible means to get rcliof, by seeking
me uest medical advice. (. nau swanow
cd sulllcicnt of their stuff to II oat a man-of-war,
so to speak, but all to no avail.
A friend of mine, coming on tho scene
in the midst of my sufferings, brought
with him n, bottle of your Scigel Syrup;
lie advised mo to try it, stating he felt
confident it would benefit me. Being
weary of trysng so many drugs, I con
dimmed it before tiinl, thinking it could
not potsibly Jo me any good, but ulti
mutely determined to .take tho Syrup.
After doing so for u short time it work,
cd such a change in me that I continued
taking it for nearly two months, and I
thcu felt thoroughly cured, for I have
discontinued its use.for five weeks, und
feel in the best of health, and can par
take any kind of food with case and
comfort. I am therefore thaukful to
you that, through the instrumentality of
your valuable medicine, lam restored to
the state of health I-now'enjoy. Yours
truly, - "W. S. FonsTEii.

Poor Asthma sufTcrcrs, who aro

of "The Rosinweed Tar Mixture." Quiet
refreshing sleep will follow its use.

"Messrs. Wnito and Co., London.
"uentiemen, it is witn great picas,
urc that I ndd my testimony to the
wonderful effects of Sclgel's Syrup. For
years I nad been suffering from bilious
uttueks, winch began with giddiness;
then a mist would come before my eyes,
so that I should not be able to recognise
any ono or anything at the distance of a
yard or two from my face. Tins would
bo followed by excessive trembling of
my knees, so that I could not stand
without support; after which a severe
headacho would occur, lasting often two
or three dags. I have tried various
remedies for these distressing symptoms,
but until I tried Sclgel's Syrup I bad no
relief. Since thcu 1 have bad excellent
health in every respect, and if ever I
feel a headache coming on I take ono
dose of the Syrup, which arrests it.
Hoping that tills testimonial may bo tho
mcuus of Inducing others (who suffer as
1 used) to try tho Syrup, ns I feel sure
they will receive speedy benefit and
ultimately bo cured, I ,beg to remain,
"A. II. IIouton."
