being instantaneous. It appears
that the deceased who has aclod
rather sttangt of late was comers

Sunday evening about a debt which
ho had contracted. After lln1 con

direction of her father's room.
Hastening to the spot she opened
the door and found her father lying
on the lloor appaiently dead. She
run out of the house and summoned
sonic neighbors. They found that
Johnson wass hot in the In east
and was dead. The deceased
who lias been a lcsident of Waialua
nearly fot ty years was an harness
maker by Hade and also did a little
farming. He was supposed to be
very well off. Latlcilyhe had been
complaining of a pain in his chest.
Johnson was a widower and leaves
sevcial children.

other message has been received stat
ing that an inquest had been held,
the jury returning a verdict that the
deceased was shot by some person
at present unknown. The police
