DAILY BUILEOMN: HOtfOJiTJIU, &, I,,
AS this is Jubilee year it tends to
make one look back and think
of the flight of time, and in this way
I am reminded that I am one of tho
veterans in the sale of your valua
ble mid successful medicine. I
have sold it from the very first, and
have sent it into every country in
England and many parts of Scot
land. Well do I remember tho
first ciieular yon sent out some nine
or ten yeais ago. You had come to
England from America to introduco
Mother Scigel's Curative Syrup,
and 1 was struck by a paiagraph in
which you used these words:
"Being a stranger in a slrnge land,
I do not wish the proplc to feel that
I want to take the least ndvantngc
over them. 1 feel that I hac a
remedy that will cine disease, and
I have so much confidence in it that
I authorise my agents to refund the
money if people should say that
they have not benefitted by its use."
I felt at once that you would never
Bay that unless the medicine had
merit, and I applied foi the agency,
a step which I now look back upon
with pride and satisfaction.
Ever since that time I have found
it by far tho best remedy for Indi
gestion and Dyspepsia I hac met
with, and I have sold thousands of
bottles. It has never failed in any
case where there were any of the
following symptoms: Nenous or
sick headache, sourness of the sto
mach, lising of the food a'tcr eat
ing, a sense of fulness and heavi
ness, dizziness, bad breath, slime
and mucus on the gums and teeth,
constipation, and yellowness of the
eyes and skin, dull and sleepy sen
sations, ringing in the ears, heart
burn, loss of appetite, and, in short,
wherever there are signs that the
systems is clogged, and the blood is
out of order. Upon repeated in
quiiies, covering a great vaiiety of
ailments, my customers have always
answered, "I am better," or "I am
peifectly well." What I have sel
dom or never seen before in the
case of any medicine is that people
tell each other ot its a irtucs, and
those who have been cured saj1 to
the suffering : "Go and get Mother
Seigel's Curalixe Syrup, it will
make jon well." Out of the hun
dreds of cm e I will name one or
two that happen to come into my
Two old gentlemen, whose names
llicy would not like me to give you,
had been martyrs to Indigestion
and Dyspepsia for many years.
They had tncd all Kinds of medi
cine' without lelief. One of them
was so bad he could not bear a
glass of ale. Botli weie advised to
use the Syrup and both lecoveied,
and were as bale and hearty as men
in the piime of life.
A lemarkablc case is that of a
house painter named Jeffries, who
licd at Penshurst, in fvent. Ilis
business obliged him to expose him
self a great deal to wind and weath
er, and he was seized with rheuma
tism, and his joints soon swelled up
with dropsy, and were ery stiff
and painful. Nothing that the doc
tors could do seemed to teach the
seat of the trouble. It so crippled
him that he tould do hardly any
woik, and for the whole of the win
ter of 1878 and '7!), he had to give
up and take to his bed. He bad
been afflicted in this sorry way lor
three j'cars, and was getting worn
out and discounted. Besides, ho
had spent oei X'iU for wiiat he
called "doctor's stuff" without the
least benefit. In the Spring he
heard of what Mother Seigel's dila
tive Syrup li.w done for others and
bought a 2s. Cd. bottle of me. In
a. few days he sent me word he was
much betyei beforo he had finishfd
the bottle. He then sent to me for
a 4s. Cd. bottle, mid as I wab going
that woy I canied it down to him
myself. On getting to bin house
what was my astonishment apd sur,
prise to find him out in the gaidcn
weeding an onion bed. I could
hardly believe my own eyes, and
"You ought not to be out here,
man, it may be the death of you,
after being laid up all winter with
rheumatism and dropsy."
His reply was; "Theic is no
danger. The weather is fine, and
Mother Soigel's C'urativo Syi up has
done for mo in a fow tltiyb what tho
doctors could not do in threo yeaia.
I think I shall get well now."
Ho kopt on with the Syi up, and
in thiee weeks ho was at work again,
and has had no return of the trou
ble for now nonily ten years. Any
medicine that can do this bhould bo
known all ocr the world.
