AN INTERESTING LETTER
A S thii is Jubilee your it tends to L
X jL make one look back and think
of the flight of time, unci in this way
l'am reminded that" mil o'nUof the
veterans in the sale of jour varia
ble and siicwMful medicine. I
have sold it fiom the very first, mid
have sent it into uvery country in
England and many part1? t)f Scot
land. Well tlo I s remeriiber tli(3
tiist ciiciilar you sent out some tiine
or ten ears ago. You had come to
Kngland fiom America to introduce
Mother Seigel's Curative Syrup,
and 1 was struck by a paiagraph in
which you used those words:
"Being a btranger in a strage land,
I do not wish the people to ieel that
I want to taku the least advantage
over them. I fet'l that I Have .1
remedy that will cm c disease, and
I have so much confidence in it that
I authorise my agents lo refund the
money if people should say that
they have not benefitted by ils use."
I felt at once that you rtoulct never
say that unless the medicine had
merit, and J applied f 01 the agency,
a step which 1 now look back upon
with pride and satisfaction.
Ever iiincc that time I have found
it by far the best icmedy for Iiidi
gestion and Dyspepsia 1 have met
with, and 1 have sold thousands of
bottles. It has never failed in any
case wheie there were any of the
following symptoms: Nervous or
sick headache, sourness of the sto
mach, lising of the food a'ter eat
ing, a sense of fulness and heavi
ness, dizziness, bad breath, slime
and mucus on the gums and teeth,
constipation, and yellowness of the
eyes and skin, dull and sleepy sen
sations, ringing in the ears, hcait
burn, loss of appetite, and, in short,
wherever tlieic are signs tlmt the
sj'stems is clogged, and lhu blood is
out ot order. Upon repeateil in
quiries, covciing a great variety ot
ailments, my custotnets have always
answered, "I am belter." or "I am
perfectly well." What I have sel
dom or never teen before in the
case of any medicine is that people
tell each other of its virtues, and
those who have been cured say to
the suffeiinji: "(Jo and set Mother
Scigcl's Curative Syrup, it will
make you well." Out of the hun
dreds of cure1" I will name one or

Two old gentlemen, whose names
they would not like me to give ,ou,
bad been martyrs to Indigestion
and Dyspepsia for many years.
They had tried all kinds of medi
cine without lelief. One of tin in
,vas so bad he could not bear a
glass of ale. Both weie advised to
use the Syrup and both tecovoed,
and were as hate and hearty as men
in the piimc of life.
A lemarkable case is that of a.
house painter named Jeffries, who
lived at Penshurst, in Kent. His
business obliged him to expose him
self a great deal to vind and weath
er, and he was se'ued with rheuma
tism, and his joints soon swelled up
with dropsy, and were veiy stiff
and painful. Nothing that the doc
tors could do seemed 10 reach the
seat of the trouble. It so crippled
him that he could do hardly any
woik, and for the whole of the win
ter of 1878 and '7!), he had to give
up and take to hw bed. He had
been afflicted in litis sorry way lor
throe years, and was getting worn
out and discouraged. Benidv, he
had spoilt over i.'i!l for what lie
called "doctor's stuff" without the
least benefit. In the Spring lie
heard of what Mother Seigel's Cuia
tive Syrup h.is done for others and
bought a 12s. Oil. bottle of inc. In
a few days he sent me word he was
much bettor before he hud finished
the bottle, llu then sent to mo for
a 4s. (Jd, bottle, and a-, 1 was goui
that way I carried jl dowh, to, him
myself. On getting to lib house
what was my astonishment and sur.
prise to find him out in the gaiden
weeding an onion bed. I could
hardly believe my ow n eyes, mid
"Yoh ought not to be out iiere,
man, it may be the death of you,
after being laid up all winter with
rheumatism anil dntpy."
Ills reply w .11 : --There is no
d.iiger. The weather is fine, and
Mother Scigel'u Curative Syiupltas
done for me in a few days what tl)e
doolors could not do in llneo yeais.
I think I shall get well now." '
lie kept on with the Sjrnp, and
in thieo wcel.s he wasatw oik again,
and has had no ltiluni of the trou
ble for now ncaily. ten years. Any
medicine that can do this should bo
known all over thn world.
