beer directed to J. V. Noble, l'aia,
contained 60 tins of opium. Mr.
. Nobie claims.to know nothing about
theropium." I not only claimed to
know iiolhing about the opium," biit
about the whole case, and when it
was delivered at l'aia refused to

anything else from Honolulu and
consequently knew that the case,
although marked with my nnme, did
not belong to inc. I received the
case as I would any other freight
coming from Kahulni and put it in
the liquor room of the warehouse to
await an owner.
