Be it Enacted by the Queen and the Legislature of the Hawaiian
Kingdom :
Section 1. A Commission of throo persons, learned in the
law, shall bo appointed by Hor Majesty the Queon, as soon
as may bo after tho passage of this Act, to Roviso and Codify
tho Ponal Laws of tho Kingdom, adding notes and references
to adjudged cases, and to report the same to the next Session
of tho Legislature.
Section 2. Tho sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dol
lars is horoby .appropriated for tho oxpenso of such codifying
and revision, and for translating and printing tho same, which
sum the Minister of Finauco is horoby authorized to pay to
such Commissioners, in such sums as shall, from time to time,
be used thorefor.

To Amend Section 120 or the Civil Code, Relatino to Kr.Er-
EltS OP Sl'ALLIONS.
lie it Enacted by the Queen and the Legislature of the Hawaiian
Kingdom : '
Section 1. Section 120 of the Civil Code is hereby amend
ed to read as follows :
" Section 120. Every poison on whoso land any Stallion of
twelve months old or upwards shall be found trespassing,
may, without any notice, cause such Stallion to be impounded,
and the owner sh'all pay to tho person upon whose land such
trespass bo committed ten dollars for every such trespass, to
bo collected by the pound-keeper, as provided by Chapter
XXXV of the Session Laws of 1888."
Section 2. This Act shall take eflectirom its passage.

Kingdom :
Section 1. That Section 2 of Chapter XXXIV of tho
Session Laws of 1882, as amnnded by Chapter XXIX of tho
Session Laws of 1881, is horoby amended so as to road as
follows :
"Section 2. Tho Minister of tho Interior is hereby au
thorized to appoint three compotont porsons for each port of
entry of tho Kingdom, who shall bo designated 'Boards of
Inspectors of Animals,' and from time to timo, when such
oJHcos, for any reason shall become vacant, to ro-appoiut com
petent porsons to fill tho samo. One of tho threo appointed
on oaoh Boaid shall bo designated as tho Exocutivo Inspector.
Such oflicors for tho purpose of this Act, shall posses all the
powors, rights, privileges and immunities of Custom Oflicors,
or ollicors acting undor tho Board of Health, and it shall bo
thoir duty to causo tho various quarantine stations to bo kopt
clean and properly fitted for uso."
Seoi'ion 2. This Act shall take oll'ect from and after the
date of its approval.

DisnticTS.
Be it Enacted by the Queen and the Legislature of the Hawaiian
Kingdom :
Section 1. That tho District of Hilo, Island of Hawaii,
shall for judicial purposes be divided as follows :
k Tho first division to .be culled tho Judicial District of Sotrthv "i.
IJilo and a Police Jiisfioo shall bo appointed for uoli district
as by law provided, and his district shall consist of that por
tion on tho south side of the boundry line botwoon the dis
tricts of Puna and Hilo on the south to the middle of the
"Waiaama Stream on tho north. Tho second division to be
called the Judicial District of Central Hilo, shall bo from the
middle of tho said "Waiaama Stream up to tho middle of the
Waikaumalo Stream. The third division to be called the
Judicial District of North Hilo, shall bo from tho middle of
the said "Waikaumalo stream up to the lino connecting Hilo
with the District of Hamakua.
SEcnox 1. A Police Justice shall bo appointed for tho
First Judicial Division, and a District Justice for each of the
Second and Thiid Judicial Divisions, as provided by Section
1, and they shall each receive, as a salary for thoir services,
such sums of money as tho Legislature may from time to
time appropriate.
Section 8. This Act shall take effect and become a law
from and after tho date of its approval.
