Be it Enacted by the Queen and the Legislature of (he JIawaiian
Kingdom : .
Suction 1. Section G of Chanter II. of tho Session Laws
of 188G, is hereby amended to load as follows:
"Section G. All openings in parly or rear walls, must be
protected by iron or iron-covered shutters, to bo approved by
tho Superintendent of Public "Works ; and all party and roar
walls of any building, fifteen feet or more in height, shall bo
built up and extend at least thiity inches above every point
whoie tho roof moots the wall, and such wall shall be not
loss than twelve inches in thickness. Detached buildings,
having a frontage on all sides, and constructed with tho exte
rior en tilery of fire-proof matoiials, need have no wall above
the roof-liue, but the walls will extend up behind the cornice
to the planking of tho roof."

date of its approval.
