The Shirt Question is still in tho
minds of tho public 'and I wish to
make a standing statement in regard
to tho Luning-Jolni'-on matter. On
or about tho 2d day of December a
lot of old shirts was left in my ollico
with instructions to repair them by
one signed Liming. 1 did repair
the shirts, and a few days later this
man Liming, accompanied by his
wife, called and brought another
shirt to bo repaired, and also asking
to see tho first lot of shirts. I show
ed them and U103' were both well
pleased and said tho job was woll
done, and told mo that tho China
man would call on Mouday and take
thorn to bo re-laundried. This was
on Saturday previous to Monday
inentioued, and whon I finished tho
last shirt I brought tho bill to
Luning at his otlice. Ho got excited
but 1 did not scare, and I simply
told, him I would like to collect
money for my work. Ho used some
very not words and said 1 had a
cheek to ask for my 11101103' then,
and ho said he would luin mo, but
still I did not scare. I told Liming
in presence of a w itnoss that ho w as
welcome to call at 1113- place of busi-
1 ness, where J have a room enclosed,
I and ho could tr on tho shirts there,
j but ho would not do it. No doubt
Mr. Liming thought he had dead
1 oas3- game, but ho was like tho man
that fell out of tho balloon ho was
simply not in it. I will sa3 this,
t that in a 113' case I make now shirts
and if tho3r do not gio ontiro satis
1 faction I will alter them, mako now
shiits, or refund tho nionoy. Can
an3' person do inoro? I will also
; keep m repair all shirts made by 1110
for two 3'ears free of charge, for I
' am as quiot as a lamb.
