Tlio Assembly ro-convoned from
recoss at 1:130 o'clock and the fol
lowing bills wore considered on
Bill 218, to amend tho laws of the
Ponal Code, relating to conspiracy,
but as applying to tlio formation of
trusts. To Judiciary Committee.
Bill 211, to prevent frauds in tlio
salo or manufacture of butter. To
Committee on Commerce.
Bill 212, to provide for tho import
ation of mothylic alcohol. Referred
to a special commit too consisting of
Nobles Marsdon, Enn, Anderson,
Mnilo and Hop. l'ua.
Bill 2M, to prevent hunting and
shooting on private grounds.
Hop. Wilder said that it would bo
proper to rofor the bill to a commit
tee for investigation. Ho bolioved
that tins bill was introduced by a
lit t lo oliquo of hunters who believed
that thoy had tho rights on all
shooting grounds. It was in tho na
ture of a trust and should bo investi
gated. Bop. Smith favored tho indefinite
postponement. Thoro was law
enough now on tho matter. Import
ed birds were protected and tres
passes could bo punisned.
Bop. R. W. Wilcox supported tho
motion to indefinitely postpone.
This bill was brought in by people
who had bought, up all tho shooting
rights, they had ovon leased tho cra
ter of Diamond Head and wanted a
Rep. Kapahu said that tho reason
of tho bill was to compel thoso who
had shooting rights to confino thorn
solves to their own rights and not
wander ovor others.
Tho motion to indefinitely post
pone was put and carried, 10 to M.
A motion to reconsider was put and,
to tho surpriso of the President, was

Act and in connection with a report

committeo recommend that tho bill
bo tabled. Report adopted.
Bill 201, relating to duties on
spirits. Report of Attorney-General
was ready stating that tho provisions
of tho bill woro not in contravention
with any existing treaties. llo
recommended that the bill pass.
Tho Minister of Finance stated
for tho information of tho members
that ho had had a communication
from tho Colleclor-Gonoral, who had
shown that if tho bill passed tho
revonuo would bo increased .?'.)9,000
in tho next 18 months.
The bill was passed to engross
ment and for thud reading on Satur

Bill 221, to amend Section Sof the

Mr. J. P. Blaizo, an oxtonsivo real
estate dealer in Dos Moines, Iowa,
narrowly escaped ono of tho severest
attacks of pneumonia whilo in the
northern part of that stato during a
recent blizzard, says tho Saturday
Review. Mr. Blaizo had occasion to
drive several miles during tho btorm
and was so thoroughly chilled that
ho was unablo to got warm, and in
side of an hour after his return ho
was threatened with a sovoro case of
pneumonia or lung fovor. Mr. Baizo
sont to tho noarost drugstore and got
abottlo of Chamberlain's Cough Re
medy, of which ho had often hoard,
and took a nuinbor of largo doses.

in a short time ho was breathing
