building and acquiring new homes.

outstanding, divfded among two
hundred and ton stockholders.
A now seiies has been issued ovory
six months, live series in all, and in
I miliary a sixth series will bo issued,
with a most favorable outlook.
Notwithstanding tho great, exodus
of mechanics and wage-earners,
many oT them members of tho asso
ciation; and notwithstanding the
business depression caused by
tho McKinloy bill, the J'. B. & L.
Association has prospered, and for
tho past term of six months will prob
ably add a credit of .S percent earn
ings to tho value of its stock.
Subscription lists are now open for
tho now series to be issued next
month and may bo found in tho
