that the natives living in the neigh
borhood of Mr. C Brown's place at
Lnie, would allow them to pass on
their way. They wanted to kill tho

no time to spare, so they pushed on
past Kahuku plantation, over tho
dillieult ciossiug at the mouth of
the Waimea rixertind onto Waia

Next morning the travelers climb
