FROM
JOHN POTTIE,
VETERINARY SURGEON
Australian Veterinary Establishment, Syd
ney, N. S. VI.
ESTABLISHED 13(12.1
I tako pleasure In announcliif; that I
lmvo oatalillslicd nu Agoncy in Hono
lulu for the salo of my woll-known
Komedlcs, and lmvo appointed Mn.
CtiAKKNCK W. MAcr.mAKK my Solo
Agent for tho Hawaiian Islands and
United States.
Signed JOHN POTTIE,
F. E. V. M. S.
Calling attention to the ubove
announcement, I beg to inform
plantation owners, ranchers and
tho public generally that I am
now in full supply of all of Dr.
Pot tic's Celebrated Remedies, to
gether with his treatises on tho
principles of doctoring animals
and the remedies to be used.
Dr. Pottie stands pre-emi
nently at tlic head of tho veteri
nary profession and his leading
remedies arc known throughout
the whole civilized -world. No
system known has shown such
splendid results. During tho 20
years in which Dr. Pottio has
had charge of tho Government
stables of Now South "Wales not
a single death occurred. Dur
ing the outbreak of "Pink Eye"
in Australia over .00,000 worth
of horses wore lost, but of the
cases treated by Dr. Pottio s re
medies LESS THAN ONE PERCENT
died. Last year over 7,000,000
animals were treated by Dr.
Pottio and his corps of assis
tants, which will afford some
idea of tho magnitude of his
business and the efficiency and
popularity of his remedies.
Special cases of assorted re
medies can bo had at prices
ranging from $5 to $150, suit
able for plantations, stables and
ranches; these remedies keep
for years.
I especially call attnnlion to
Dr. Pottie's celebrated and un
failing remedy for Mange, which
is so widely prevalent among
horses in these Islands at this
timo. I regard this as a certain
cure, and can show testimonials
for cures already effected of
very aggravated cases.

of tho principal Horse, Cattle,

of tho Atlvortlsor.
Tho following is from a Washing

is oxpoctod that tho noxt stoamor

dontlv fearful that Willis has acted
by this time and, perhaps, that tho
'Quoon has been restored.
H. N. Castlo of Honolulu, brother
of Commissioner Oastlo, is staying
at tho Hawaiian legation. lie said
to tuo Uall corrospondont to-uiglit
that tho noxt stoamor might bring
nows from Honolulu that would no

Minister Willis might havo actod by
this timo. "Of courso, ho said, "if
wo only had tho loyalists to deal
with wo would foel safo enough, but
wo cannot hopo to contoud success
full against tho United Statos Gov

liovos the fato of tho Provisional
Government to bo trembling in tho
balance, if it has not alroady fallen.
Mr. Castlo probably expresses Min
ister Thurston's own approhonsion.
