A telegram has been received at
Heroshima from Ping Tang stating
that the Chinese Oenoral Sa Ho Kf,
captured at Ping Yang, has suc
cumbed to his wounds.
According to a telegram received
at Hiroshima from Shanghai, eight
Chinese men-of-war are undergoing
repair at Port Arthur. It is added
that these vessels all suffered heavily
in the recent engagement, nearly tho
half of the crews being killed or
wounded. The Chinese men-of-war
aro assembling at Wei-hal-wei with
the object of defending the Gulf of
Pechili. A report has reachod Naga
saki that Major von Hanneken was
not killed in the naval engagement
