THE UNDEK81UNED HAVE BEEN APPOINTED SOLE AGENTS FOtt
theso Bhkkddkbp and are now prepared to receive orders.
The great advantages to be derived from the use of the National Garb
3HRXDDKB are thoroughly established and acknowledged by Planters
The large numbor of Planters using them in the United States, Cuba,
Argentine Republic, Peru, Australia and olsewhero, bear witness to the
The use of the Shriudbk very largely augments the quantity of cano
the mill can grind (25 to 50&), also the extraction of juice (6 to 12).
It U a great safeguard, making known at onco the presence of any
pieces of iron, stakes from cars, or anything which would be liable to damage
the mill, and allowing ample time to remove sumo before damaging the mill.
The SiiRKDbRK is very strongly made, and from the manner of its utiura
tton it cuts or tears these pieces of wood or iron without often breaking the
Shrkddkb; and if anything breaks, it is simply somo of thr knives or cutters,
which can be quickly and economically replaced. Tho Shredder, as its
oamo indicates, tears tho cane into shreds of varying lengths, perfectly open
ing it and allowing tho mill to thoroughly press out tho juices without re
quiring the iuunenso extra power necessary to griud or cruxh the whole
cano. The Shredder spreads tho shredded cane unif jrinly and evenly to
tho mill rolls, and docs away with the necessity of spreading tho bagasse by
hand between tho mills, where regrindiug is in use. No greater, amount of
boiler capacity is required to operate tho Bhheddkr than that which was
sufficient for the mill, for tho above reasons. Wo furnish full working
drawings for the installation of our Shredders, enabling any competent cu
glncor to successfully install and start them.
In ordering Shredders from us, plcaso send small sketch, showing the
diameter and width of the mill rolls with which Shredder is to bo connected,
also the side (either right or loft hand as you face the delivery sido of the
mill;, upon which tho mill engino is located, also the height from iloor lino
to center of front mill roll shaft, and distance center this shaft to front end
of bod plate. Tbcso Shredders are now being used by tho Milo Sugar Go.
and Hawi Mill, Kohala, whero they are giving great satisfaction.
