The following letters received from Atr. Jno. A. Scott, Atana
ajjer Hilo Sugar Co., refer to the Avery FERTILIZER DISTRIBU
TORS and Stubble Diggers, for which the Hawaiian Hard
ware Co. are sole agents. Atr. Scott tirst saw these implements
at the Columbia Exhibition in Chicago, and was so favorably
impressed with their appearance that lie immediately ordered
samples shipped to the Hilo Sugar Co. Atr. H. Deacon, Mana
ger for Pepeekeo Sugar Co., secured one each of these inple-
1 menls from Atr. Scott and expressed his satisfaction with them
: in the letter published herewith:
I I'EPEtKEO, Aug. 8, 1891.
' J. A. Scott,
Dnit .Sir. In reply to yours in relation to the"Avory" Stubble Diggers
aud Fertilizer Distributor.
I would say that 1 have been using the Diggers almost constantly since
I received.tlieiu, and run highly pleaded with them. As tho name signifies,
1 find them specially adapted to the work of loosening the soil about rat
toon stools, and they in.iv be Used to great advautago either before or
after the Fertilizer Distributors, thereby putting tho raltoou fields in the
very bo.t condition for a rapid growth. They are a light draft machine,
aud 1 would recommend them to any plantation owner.
The Fertilizer Distributor is a groat labor saving machine, and 1 find
that 1 shall need otio more to fill our requirements here.
I remaiu, yours respectfully,
(Siuned) H. Dkaco.v.
Manager for Pepeekeo Sugar Co.
