publican Club was granted an audi-
ence by Prosidont Dole at tho Exo

Prosidont with a petition from the
1 club for permission to organize into
a military company to bo known as
Co. G, N. G. U. Tho President re
ceived tho petition vpry cordially,
stating at tho same time that It
would have to be considered by tho
Councils. IIo asltod tho committee

cers in cao tun petition was granted.
Mr. Uoyd, who acted as spokesman,
said that tho club would lnavo that
to tho Government. An officer from
tho National Guards would bo ac
ceptable. Membors of the militia havo ex
pressed comments unfavorable to

that the Hawaiian Republican Club
should bo given a representation in
