ing wonderful record of tbo working of tho NATIONAL CANE SHRED
DER, which was cicctcd by their works at tho commencement of tho crop
" During tbo past week tbo Hilo Sugttr Company's mill exceeded any of
its former records by closing the 125 hours grinding with an output of 300
tons. This is fully 10 percent mnro than the best work of former years.
"Tho tlirco roller mill being 2G in. by 54 in. mid tho two roller mill 30 in.
by CO in. 'J be first mill doing this amount of work in an efficient manner
and with great case, compared with work on wholo cuno, owing to thorough
preparation of tho enno by tbo National Oano Shredder, recently erected by

cent on all kinds of cane, and in somo cases 80 percent has been reached;
tho average being 75 to 78 percent, according to quality.
