" It is with plcasuro that I send a testimonial
concerning what Hood's Sarsaparllli has dono

she has had a running aoro on ono side of her
face. We tried etery remedy recommended, but
nothing did licr nny good until we commenced
using Hood's Barsaparllla. My married daughter
adrliodmoto use Hood's Sarsaparllla because
Hood's!PBCures

troubled with that complaint slnco childhood,
and slnco her cure she has never been without
bottle of Hood's Sarsaparllla In tho house. We
commenced elrlng It to Sarah about one year
ago, nod It has couqucred the running sore,

talcing the medicine her eyesight was affected
but now the can see perfectly. In connection

Esonic dnys ngo this paper printed
wlmt it believed to be the cprrect
program of the services to bo held
by the G. A. It. to-day. Tho item
, was furnished by a member of the
post, nnd there deemed to bo no
valid reaon why it should not be
u-cd in theso columns just the tamo
ns any other public matter.
When we read, the next morning,
that the program was incorrect and
l unwarranted and that "-cveral mem
1 bora of the Geo. ". DeLong Post,
1 G. A. It., had called at the Advcr-
tiscr office to exprc their dis
j pleasure, the reporter for tho Btu.K
j tin felt worse than tho-e on the
1 other papers when they saw
they wcro "scooped.'' The Bulle
tin man called on the friend who
hnd furnished the item and "called
him down," but tho friend objected
with tho remark "stick to that pro
gram, it's tho ono we made out, but
ns there is considerable objection
to Mr. Thurston, we may have to
make a cliango in that one particu
lar." We stuck to it and take
plcasuro in printing herewith our
"unwarranted" version together
with what may be considered the
oflicinl program furnished to our
E. C. the Advertiser. It will be
noticed that our error consisted
solely in tho naming of Doctor
Emerson as delivering tho Bene
diction instead of IMr. Birnio. The
publication may have been a breach
of etiquette considering that the
program was being printed in the
ollicc of another paper, but then,
all "t-coops" are "unwarranted" un
der such circumstances;

Any one. who has evor had an at
tack of inflammatory rheutuatUm
will rojoieo with Mr. J. A. Stumm,
220 Boylo Hoight?, Los Angeles,
over his fortunate escape from a
siege of that distressing ailment.
Mr. Stumm is foreman of Merriam's
confectionery establishment. Some
months ago, on leaving the heated
work room to run across the streot
on au orrand, he was caught out in
the rain. The result was that when
ready to go homo that night he was
unablo to walk, owing to inflamma
tory rhoumatism. Ho was taken
homo, and on arrival was placed in
front of a good fire and thoroughly
rubbed with Chamberlain's Pain
Balm. During the evening and night
he waB repeatedly bathed with this
linimont, and by morning was re
lievod of all rheumatic pains. He
now takes especial pleasure in prais
ing Chamberlaiu's Pain Balm, and
always keeps a bottle of it in tho
house. For sale by all dealers, Ben
son, Smith fc Co., agents for the Ha
